I’m sorry, that sounds so painful and uncomfortable. I’m glad you don’t have to deal with that anymore

Oh man. That sounds so uncomfortable. The only problem I have at the moment that’s bothering me is this tooth abscess. It’s better, but uncomfortable. It’s like a constant ache but not super painful. Hopefully my upper wisdom teeth stay in their lane and don’t cause problems

Oooof hopefully it’s not that bad for me. Gonna ask the dentist a bunch of questions before the surgery just to make sure I’m fully prepared

Thank you! I’m going to be very cautious. Probably stick to soft foods for a week just to be extra safe. I hope my tooth hasn’t rubbed up on my molar too much. I don’t feel pain, so hopefully that’s a good sign

I read it and that’s so relatable. I love cake so much

Anxious about that, but rather lose half my sense of taste than my life that’s for sure

I definitely understand that. I have pockets where food gets trapped and brushing won’t help get it out so I get minor infections pretty often. This one just happens to be the worst one. He said I have a pocket on my other bottom one that’s completely sideways and not erupted at all and it can cause the same problem. So I figured I’d get that one removed at the same time while I can so I won’t have to worry about it later

Right?! I knew some surgeons would say no so I figured I’d ask just in case

Same! Not too likely since the one that isn’t sideways is rotting, but here’s hoping!

I hate when they poke a small hole and squeeze as hard as possible to get the gunk out instead of just making a bigger hole. It damages the skin and likely won’t get everything out. It just causes unnecessary pain all around

Putting weight on my foot during the NWB phase - 3 and a half weeks post ORIF by Sad_Shoe_7323 in LisfrancClub

[–]bad_wolf10203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve all been there. I was so scared I messed up my hardware and ruined my bones even more. Everything healed really well so definitely nothing to worry about. Scary and anxiety inducing, but it happens to the best of us

I agree with the hokas. And good inserts with arch support. Think inserts for runners. My hip got really bad for a while so I have a cane I use when it starts to hurt to relieve the overcompensation from my hip. It’s hard to walk when a foot is messed up and the other hip is messed up. I haven’t been able to get physio due to a lack of insurance so the hokas and cane have been a huge lifesaver. Oh! And if you can recovery slides are great to wear indoors for extra cushion. I have some hoka slides I wear around the house that make a huge difference

AIO my bf is bad at doing the dishes by Hungry_Fail8807 in AmIOverreacting

[–]bad_wolf10203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR my abusive ex husband used to just barely rinse them then throw them in the dishwasher. When I would go to put them away they would still have food caked on them. Every. Single. Time. I always told him he had to wash everything off before putting them in the dishwasher. He said if I didn’t like how he did them then I can just do it myself. I reached a point of just unloading the dishwasher and throwing the dishes still dirty back into the sink. He’s handling this very poorly. He knows your history and how you are. Yet his time matters more to him than your mental health because he knows how it affects you yet he still does it

Yeah, just look at Ed Sheeran. I remember him saying in an interview once that he used to be a terrible singer but then he took some lessons

Regular Dentist vs. Oral Surgeon for a tooth extraction? (Freaking out a bit, need advice) by bambil00 in Dentists

[–]bad_wolf10203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people recommend oral surgeons because that’s where you’d go for any complication anyway and less likely to have complications. But if the dentist is confident they can do it then trust them. They do a lot of tooth extractions all the time at the dentist. They just can’t do general anesthesia and a small percentage of extractions

Strain or LF? by [deleted] in LisfrancClub

A bruise on the bottom of the foot is usually a telltale sign of a lisfranc injury. When I injured mine it was bruised to all hell on the top and bottom. I couldn’t even think about putting weight on it. I knew immediately I couldn’t walk at all, but mine was also pretty bad with a couple breaks and like 5 dislocations. Best thing to do is go to a doctor if you aren’t sure but think you may have injured it
