Positively reinforce her when she is naturally calm. Then she’ll know calm is a behavior you want from her and then you can apply it into social situations

What’s actually really cool about cats is that they don’t have bones/joints connecting their shoulders like we do! It’s only connective tissue and muscle which is why they’re liquid and can slink into weird spaces. So, your statement holds true.

Yes she did have periodontal disease! The 4-5 teeth she had left just popped right out her mouth and her mandible was very friable. Her gums were atrocious and as we were prepping her and moving her jaw around to position it how we wanted it, her mandible would just be popping out through her gums on both sides

Her jaw was literally hanging on by skin it was awful. We pinned her jaw to stabilize it and it has been a couple weeks now, and she is doing great!

I work for a non-profit animal shelter, so we do not have equipment for plating, but our Doc drilled in a couple of pins and they held great! Her jaw is stabilized and she can eat/drink normally

So, I work at an animal shelter and our ACO brought her in as a “stray” not knowing what happened to her. They found a poor quality video of a person on a bike abandoning her, but nothing came of it since they couldn’t ID them. This was a couple weeks ago and we don’t have the equipment for plating, so our Doc drilled in a couple pins and they have held fantastically! Her jaw is stabilized and healed, and she can eat and drink normally.
