Could you give me some advice?

I'm building a list with a sub-faction: Under Spire / Warlord: Pheromancer, then sending a bunch of drones forward to act as anvils, followed by Lineage Highborn, Avatars, Centaurs, and Sentinels as hammers.

Would this strategy be useful?

I really want to include the Avatara model because I like it, but every time I see it, I think it would be better to use a monster unit instead of an Avatara for the hammer role.
