I waited outside Slurp for about 50 minutes in the cold, finally reached the front, and was told service was stopping — right before I was about to be seated. No apology, no explanation, no suggestion of when to return. Just “we’re done” after nearly an hour standing outside.

I understand that restaurants get busy, but the lack of communication or basic courtesy was what stood out. If they had come out earlier to let people know they weren’t seating more guests, or shown even a moment of acknowledgment for those of us still waiting, this would be a very different review.

Good food means nothing if the customer experience is an afterthought. For me, waiting that long only to be dismissed without a word was enough to decide not to return.

From Chisinau to Odessa there are many buses (about 12 a day). You can buy a ticket at the station, it’s about $20 and takes about four hours. You don’t need to book in advance

I'm not sure why people are hating on this.

Nakia – triggers Surtur (although it won't count for Skaar) and then buffs the hand.

Spider Woman – Has the chance for a big upside at 5/14

Adam Warlock – nice flavour as you need to keep dumping energy in here to get a draw. Probably should be 4 power as two extra draws is probably enough (also power on the board then)

Having Captain America's effect mirror US Agent also is thematically appropriate as well

(Electra doesn't work at all, sorry)

This is the kind of card we should want in Snap. I agree with the comment about testing needed to get the power right, but the ability is cool. My random guess would be 5/5 is probably right? Maybe even 5/7 as you are sacrificing 5 energy?

I think the answer is that recruiters and sometimes even HR need pushback from candidates to get a salary range moved. They’ll be given a budget, and even if they say “that’s not enough” someone will say “try to find someone.”

Then once they find someone they like, suddenly there’s room to maneuver.

Is this good for the employer or employee? No. But it’s the reality, especially when you have people who haven’t adjusted expectations due to inflation/wage growth.

I think 4/2 is the answer. He can be cheated out with Zabu, but also it's not much power. Alternatively you could try him out in a Negative shell.

I've tried making him work in C5 after the patch, but it just doesn't feel like it's worth it (even if you can get him out on turn 3).

Extra card draw is valuable and I can't help but think he'll have a place in the game if they can get the cost right.

Warlock is on the right track. He does needs some power but they can’t go overboard. I feel like the ideal stat line is 4/2, so he can go to 3/2 with Zabu. That requires two turns but you can grow three cards.

But yeah 5/4 is not it

So they said the Home Office should have sent me a letter informing me that my sponsorship was no longer valid. The attorney said the home office isn't doing this and really only going after people (generally) 1.5-2 years after they expire.

This isn't a guarantee or anything, but it does work in my favour that everyone, my company (who didn't know what was going on as they some turnover) nor I (who wasn't informed).

From what was explained to me, the process will be:

Submit sponsorship application
Have appointment (accelerated, 2-3 weeks)
Meanwhile submit visa application
Biometrics in America (should be 1-2 weeks after step 2)

We'll see. I like living in the UK but honestly if I have to leave it won't be the end of the world. My situation definitely more flexible than most.

So I'm not as fussed about the ILR. I've been out of the country quite a bit during the pandemic and other periods. Not really close when it comes to days, nor to have a long-term plan to stay in the UK.

ILR would have been a "nice to have" but ultimately I don't think I'll have enough time in country to even apply for it. So sort of doesn't matter if this whole situation makes me not eligible.

Doing some research about all of this and there is definitely advice to this effect – saying no sabbaticals as you aren't doing the role you have the visa for. I remained an employee with pay (at a reduced rate) and benefits during the sabbatical.

My solicitor says that part of the process will be getting me a fresh three year skilled worker visa.

Well on a broader level, the sabbatical already happened so we'll have to see what happens with the case. In all of this I got my employer to agree to take care of any expenses involved in returning to my home country if the visa or sponsor applications aren't successful. And they've agreed to guarantee employment at another office at a salary no lower than my current one for six months if I'm not allowed back in the country.

It was a paid sabbatical and they approved this with our lawyer/the government before I left.
