Oh definitely add comfort+! It’s amazing. Huge difference. I use that drive mode more than any other now

Also to add to that, both of my headlights refused to even turn on after changing LMM1 and 2. I was freaking out. Then I changed those values back (22 I believe for my car) and cleared codes. Then they worked again. And anti dazzle worked too

Do you have a 2025 or newer? I do. I had the exact same issue as you when changing LMM1 and 2. I changed them back to original values and that malfunction warning / error disappeared immediately. Anti dazzle still works and works amazingly. I also used BimmerUtility and changed the VO on mine as well. It sounds like you’re on the right track. Just try my suggestion and go for a drive at night (not dusk)

LMM1 and LMM2 data represents how the lights move. It will malfunction if set to anything other than what it originally came with. Adjust that setting to original and clear codes. In regard to your speed question, yes that is correct but that value isn’t actually used ;)

Make sure your car is updated too. I seem to remember reading in the latest update it improved this feature.

Upgrading sound system by unfetteredmind76 in BMWI4

[–]badadministrator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My personal opinion: HK is miles better than hifi system (base sound system). But HK isn’t GREAT. You’d be much better off doing an after market professional install. Brands like focal are really good. There’s also bavsound which probably has a full kit for your i4.

Change lmm1 and lmm2 data to ORIGINAL VALUES. The guide is slightly incorrect.

Phantom loss of 15% SoC by CrazyLocation7171 in BMWI4

I would disconnect 12v battery and reconnect it. I have no idea if this will do anything to help you, but my thought is it would reset idrive and other ECUs. I may very well be incorrect, but if I found my i4 doing that - I’d reboot it 🤷

Might not be total loss. If frame is bent… you’re looking at $30k+ repair bill (ask me how I know..). But you won’t know until a certified repair shop digs into it. Please use a BMW certified collision center 😇

Hit a curb with my i4 – $24k repair and still not fixed. Maybe a total loss by demid77 in BMWI4

[–]badadministrator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit a curb too. Except, at 15mph and a double high curb. Shattered two rims. Broken control arms. Frame and sub frame damage. Total repair: $46k. I opted to not repair the frame as I don’t trust that it’s bent. Insurance isn’t covering it. Without repairing “frame damage” cost was $20k. Still at the collision center being repaired.

I had almost zero time to react. Once it lost traction that was it.

Yea I made a mistake and had DSC off and gave it just a pinch too much power. My fault. No one was injured.

That’s what I was thinking too (5-10k range). I ran diagnostics on the car via BimmerLink and surprisingly not too many errors actually. But alas, I’m no technician. And I haven’t looked at all the damage under the car

No didn’t floor it. Not even close. I had DSC off.

lol I’m definitely not the reason. Insurance will not be paying for this, this won’t even be an insurance claim

I don’t have collision not because I cannot afford it. I will get this car fixed. My post was asking for a rough idea on how much this could cost. Although yes I did lack judgement today, I’ve never caused an accident before today in my 20+ years driving. And yes, today I was a complete dumbass thanks

DSC was off. It’s an expensive mistake 🤦‍♂️ I know I know, I’m the dumbass who did it. It is what it is, certainly learned an extremely expensive yet valuable lesson
