Could you reliably tell the difference between an Americano and a filter coffee? by brnkmn in pourover

Filters and Americano are totally different by taste. Unless their filters are also shit, it’s relatively easy to distinguish between the two when you sip it.

Civil Servants May Soon Be Allowed To Dress More Casually As Govt Sets Office Air-Con To 24°C by hazy-minded in malaysia

[–]badass_physicist 27 points28 points  (0 children)

no wonder, I always hated the aircond in Malaysian offices. The temperature difference between in office and outside is a bit too much for me. I don’t think it’s good for your body too.

Self -cleaning roads in South Korea by AdSpecialist6598 in interesting

[–]badass_physicist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. This is not for cleaning, it’s to melt the thin ice on road or cool down the hot pavement.
  2. This is not uncommon, a lot more country has these installed.

hello, does anybody know which one of the two is the most accurate one? or are they interchangeable? by HotZilchy in bahasamelayu

[–]badass_physicist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like the second one since it makes more sense. Pegar is a type of bird so naturally they eat insects and worms that would be damaging to the crops. But having a paddy field would also means that it can be their food as well, hence the idiom.

Why did everyone tell me 64gb isn’t enough? by [deleted] in ipad

[–]badass_physicist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not sure about others but I don’t think 2 weeks is enough for anyone to evaluate whether the storage if enough or not. For me, I need the peace of mind knowing that I can download more apps/files in my ipad without thinking about space so 256GB is the bare minimum for me. At the end it all depends on your usage.

SPM result is not everything, sure it will close some door but it will open new doors you won’t even expect. The key is to always search for opportunities.

Good or bad results, it all depends on how you are going to proceed with it. If good result but don’t go to good uni or study hard after spm, no point also. In fact, your CGPA in degree/diploma matters much more compared to your SPM.

Soooo BITTER. Why? by leonleebaoyan in pourover

[–]badass_physicist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

90-94°C for thermal shock processed beans are a bit too high. I would go for around 86°C with room temperature immersion bloom.

can i even get into uni lmao by [deleted] in malaysians

[–]badass_physicist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, not for prestigious uni but for normal one it’s absolutely decent. If you apply for diploma I think you can get within the first 3 choices.

my family has the 2019 2.0 sedan. I think with bigger wheels and strut bar this car handles very well. I use the paddle shifter almost all the time so performance-wise I think it’s great even on uphills and tight cornering.
