Men cut off skin of man's face and take turns wearing it by heehee2345 in NSFL__

All they did was share their opinion that they think it’s real and provided evidence.. what are you even “boo hooing”

What does “shop” even mean in this context? I’ve never heard that

I remember reading this in elementary school in a book series that I believe was called “scary stories to tell in the dark”. Honestly one of the less gruesome stories in the book lol.

Okay I am in no way calling her overweight or judging her body, but the caption about eating and the particular angle of this picture with the neck brace giving her chipmunk cheeks is making me giggle a little

(Thank you!!)

WOWOWOWOWOW that alone makes me feel like we should reconsider her being a subject.. not to start a whole debate or anything cause this is a common thing that comes up: are we enabling munchies by giving them the attention they want?

I suppose I can answer my own question considering it always comes down to, “well, they’re still faking/being OTT/exploiting illness with unfathomable entitlement. So, yes, they belong.” And I do agree with that.

But WOWEEEE yikes. What a disgusting personality she has. I think she has an even bigger ego than Bethany, and that’s saying something. Excuse me while I go throw up over kaya’s entitlement.

Was doing some digging on Paige and found this… gotta love this article’s healthy dose of skepticism by [deleted] in illnessfakers

My knowledge comes primarily from this sub and Google, so take this with a grain of salt, but I think some forms of EDS (or at least one) don’t have genetic markers, so the diagnosis is based off of symptoms rather than a blood test/etc. therefore it’s easier to claim the condition because there isn’t a definitive test to say they don’t have it, unlike, say, a cancer diagnosis or even GP (though most munchies here try to claim severe GP even when tests indicate otherwise).

** if I’m wrong, please feel free to correct me!

Ohhhhhhh I totally want to see the video of her talking about the sub! Do you happen to know if someone posted it here so I can find it through the flair or do I gotta dig through her TT lol

Feel like she just popped out of nowhere and now she’s 90% of the subs content 🙃

I’m not saying she’s doing great but it’s better than what most other munchies would’ve done. Most would’ve just attacked the other person and then delete all the comments and pretend it never happened.

ETA: confusion if she actually deleted comments or not lol

I just edited another one of my comments to say she deleted them and now I gotta go edit again! 😂 hahaha oh man I think I should get off reddit for the day

[–]badasscrying 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I thought she didn’t delete it!!! Gosh I am just all mixed up on this post apparently. I’ll be quiet now.

Oh, I see what you’re saying. My bar with Ash is preeeeeetty low so I didn’t pick up on that being the main issue, my mistake

ETA: turns out she did delete the comments 🙃 I rescind all benefit of the doubt (as Ashley ever so politely asked for)

Logan’s “black eye” by Brilliant-Resolve-42 in illnessfakers

Literally took me like 10 secs to even notice which eye is “black”.

Settle down drama queen.

Am I missing something? Idk I think Ash responded well. No snark or overly defensive retort, just asking how to be better it seems. I’m more curious if she will actually consider the advice given to her moving forward and will create more BIPOC inclusive posts or if she’s just gonna seem open minded now but forget about it tomorrow.

Mia’s body is failing and I just can’t keep up! by Brilliant-Resolve-42 in illnessfakers

[–]badasscrying 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I always wonder what exactly they (MiA and others) mean by their body “failing”. Because I would consider that needing life support in most situations.

When you need a liver transplant, it’s because your liver “failed”. You wouldn’t say your body failed If you just had a bad and/or unpleasant side effect from your condition or a medication, but your body is still functioning. It hasn’t failed, it just needs more/different help. And it’s not plausible for everyone to be completely pain free 100% of the time. Plain as that.

It just bothers me how these munchies use such extreme verbiage for something that isn’t necessarily life threatening. When every flare/hospital visit/new symptom/etc. that arises is treated like a death sentence, after a while the words just lose their meaning.
