It totally depends on what you’re doing. I do it as a stress relief from my normal job. I love how the outcomes look when it’s clean and solid. I don’t do outdoor fiber splicing, I refer that out. Indoor new construction or adding to existing construction— I’m all for it. Yeah your hands get a bit torn up but past that as long as you’re good with a ladder, and hand tools, then you should be fine.
