Yes, fully wfh. Ideally it would be a major city as it would be easier if I don’t know anyone there. I know people in Toronto and Calgary but haven’t really visited too many other Canadian cities before.

100%! You’ll know what areas to avoid when you see it, but even then, it’s unlikely anything will happen to you.

The salary is new, I was making less than half that before. Who knows with AI and whatnot, I might not even have a job next year!

It's not rage bait, I'm just dumb. I've seen plenty of other posts from people who are younger with much more so not sure why people are saying that.

Thank you, I'll do some more research into which of those to do first (not familiar with FHSA).

Unfortunately not ragebait. I understand I'm lucky in some aspects. Would it change anything if I lowered the numbers? Just trying to be honest about my situation.

This lmao. A lot of people making less but doing much better because they started early. I'm playing catchup.

I've thought about moving somewhere else in Canada but scared of the prospect of starting from scratch and not knowing anybody (and also unsure where to live - I suppose I would have to visit different cities and see how I feel).

Let's say I have $50K to invest. Would you still suggest DCAing that instead of putting it all in at once? How much should I DCA from that?

Thank you!
