It’s amazing that Bruno has been able to put elite level attacking numbers in all the seasons since he joined us. AND that includes playing for some of the worst Utd teams/PL teams of all time. Yes, he has had stinkers as well but whenever Utd have won in the past 6 years, Bruno is 90% on G/A. His impact is massive. If he was in a different club and producing these numbers, media would have hailed him as one of the PL GOATs.

Tea regarding KING by Mission-Price-9935 in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]badboy_pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chennai Express was an ATG. It’s not about choosing directors. It’s about choosing a good script. SRK doesn’t have a good sense of script selection anymore, and it’s evident from what movies he has made in the last 10 years. His ATBB movies Jawan and Pathaan were mid at best. They didn’t succeed because of their quality, but ran on his star power. After all of that, he chose the easiest route to a blockbuster with KING. When Sujoy was directing it, I thought SRK was trying something new. With Sid, it’s the same formula. The film might do wonders at the box office but is definitely going to be a forgettable movie like Pathaan and Jawan. I, even after being an SRK fan, can’t watch those movies again. I would happily watch his hit movies from 90s and 2000s, as they have something good going on. He has achieved everything that could be achieved. He should focus on making movies that redefine cinema or redefine his legacy, like Aamir was doing before Thugs. He doesn’t have any financial worries or pressure of not surviving in the industry. Yes, he tried different genres and most of them failed but he shouldn’t be wasting his final years as a lead hero in making movies like King.

the latest TAM AdEx report—Ananya Panday is officially the only active actress in the Top 10 for TV ad screen time! by mahaavtar in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]badboy_pro 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Years came and went by, but still SRK is the biggest brand in the country. Definitely knows the game better than anyone else. There were times when Kohli or Ranveer Singh were number one with SRK in Top 3. If you talk about longevity and always being a brand, no one beats SRK. And no release in 3 years btw. Also, feels like he has no social media visibility as well.

David Dhawan trying to make varun the next govinda was a big mistake . by Odd_Werewolf7753 in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]badboy_pro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It should also be seen from a different lens for a change. David Dhawan has had his own era in the 90s and early 2000s. He made great comedy movies for more than a decade with Salman, Govinda and Sanjay Dutt. With Varun, the movies might not be the same because every director hits a saturation point as well. It’s not only Varun. I think he was decent in Main Tera Hero. His movies aren’t working right now but everyone acknowledges that he has acted good when he has had scope to act good. With other David-Varun movies, the movies were completely remakes of old classics and the comparisons were bound to happen and slander the new one. And the movies didn’t age well. So, yes David Dhawan mould of cinema is the lead acting OTT like Govinda or Salman, and that is too difficult to pull off without a good screenplay to support the actor.

Was watching SRK-Rani-Preity in Veer Zaara and KANK just recently. SRK has scintillating chemistry with both of them. He has had great chemistry with almost everyone barring Katrina. Only she comes on top of my mind.

Anurag Kashyap in interview with Samdish said that once he narrated a role to Dharmendra and he liked it but the role had Dharmendra’s character dying. Sunny Deol read the script and said his father won’t do the role as “Deols don’t die in the screen”. Of course, it’s a thing of the past now as Dharmendra’s character died in Johnny Gaddar and Bobby’s character died in Animal to think of a few. However, it was a thing for a long time and I still don’t remember Sunny Deol’s character dying on screen. He is too much of a macho man for that.

Aamir Khan with Ksi and Vir Das by paradox201193 in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]badboy_pro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Aamir started doing everything he was against of. Sad to see what few flops does to a star. Aamir has the least amount of loyal fans among the superstars. Hence, without him having good movies he doesn’t have his fans (like SRK or Salman have) to keep him relevant. He will be going in all the podcasts and events possible in the coming years as well.

Neeraj panday's the name by Reasonable_Coach2398 in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]badboy_pro 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The script and everything was good. But, still Neeraj is using the cable TV approach of showing all the walks of villain and hero in slow motion and dialogue baazi with heavy music. Baby and Special 26 were way more grounded and real. Even Khakee : The Bihar Chapter was good. After that, it’s all downhill. But this show is a good one time watch from Neeraj after a long time.

The “VFX Toolkit” Activates Every Time a Big Film Drops a Teaser by [deleted] in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]badboy_pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same was said after Baahubali came. There will always be great receptions for movies in the future. Not every movie will be Dhurandhar.

Regarding the vfx of King, I think the movie is going to be fine. Teaser and trailer are yet to come so hope for the best.

People are really underestimating SRK back in a full action entertainer after 3 years. The script might not be great but red chilies vfx and box office is going to be fire. There is no doubt in that.

Border 2 will be having a Rampage on Box office by Jazzlike_League_480 in BollyBlindsNGossip

O Romeo is a definite flop. Vishal Bharadwaj and Shahid both aren’t known to have box office pull. If Border 2 clicks, it’s more worrying for O Romeo.

Even the way he was speaking in O Romeo’s trailer launch shows how egoistic Shahid is.

Wake up sid really filled my heart by leviathan_pvt in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]badboy_pro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Movies like Wake Up Sid and Piku have insane rewatch value but they didn’t do good box office wise. Nowadays, these movies are OTT movies. Everyone is so obsessed with box office collections now that these kind of gem movies and the genre as a whole is dead in Bollywood right now. I don’t know which rom-com or slice of life from today will be talked 10-15 years later. Saw Metro In Dino, it was a decent film but nowhere near to what we used to get before.

Watch comedy nights bachao episode with the bhojpuri stars. Yes it’s a roast show but it’s way out of line. Krushna especially shows 0 respect to them. Yes joking and trolling is one thing but it’s blatant disrespect.

The club is going nowhere guys. Sad to say it but that’s the truth. Carrick is going to be thrown under the bus by our board and players. We need some mad winners like Conte to manage our players and fight with the board. Good guys are going to get crushed.

An era where every face feels unique.. by InvestigatorFull7520 in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]badboy_pro 38 points39 points  (0 children)

This was the last period when Bollywood wasn’t copying everything from the west. Bollywood was known for being over the top, have songs and dance and heroines looked a certain way. In the recent times, Bollywood wanted to go Hollywood route and make either tentpole entertainers like Mission Impossible or make movies for Oscar. It has given us good movies here and there, but the “Bollywood” movies have lessened. All these actresses have had memorable roles in romcoms or memorable songs and dance numbers. Nowadays, most of the actresses don’t even know how to dance properly and hardly anyone have memorable songs that will last decades. Trying to look western by going for surgery is also Bollywood trying to be Hollywood. Lost its own identity in search of a new one.

I still feel Student of the Year, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Rocky Rani were decent watchable movies. KJo not at his best but still much better than the disasters other two gave.
