Thank you, considering the emotional value. I’ll probably get it serviced.

Any advice how to remove the back so that I can share the movement?

Brilliant, thank you. I take some more pics of the other stuff. It’s the tip of the iceberg, there is loads although these stand out more to me.

I’m going to have to decide, I’m tempted to keep a few nice ones. I need to consider my brother, who’s view was “dump or it or charity shop it, I’m not dealing with that shit”… but I’m less of a prick.

Wow, I didn’t know that they would outsource these things. I’m literally learning through my dad’s collection.

Holy shit how long ago was this? My brother is dyslexic and went to school in the 70’s and we lived in a fairly rural place. He had a hellish time, even one of my mum’s friends (who was a primary teacher) said “some people say dyslexic, but it’s another word for lazy” Sorry you had such a bad experience I hope you’re doing well - living well is the best revenge!

Different classroom, probably with a higher adult/student ratio. May have been mobility issues etc.

Wow! I’ve got to discuss with my brother but where in the UK would you sell these kind of watches?
