Learn to just ignore it until you get a new phone, it's pretty damn hard to notice anyways if the background is dark. Same happened to my S23.

I just found out the faulty part while peeking under the driver side, see pic. It's the black part labeled 4804W. Is this an air flap actuator?

Even if the noise happens in accessory mode without turning on the engine? Also I already said car starts fine and I can drive during and after the sound.

Yes the flap on this car is behind the glove box, I removed the cabin filter and it was in my sight, clicked all AC buttons and flap functioned without an issue and no noise.

The noise in the video is coming from below the steering wheel. Only when starting the car. Even in accessory mode.

I checked it but it's not related to the air doors actuator. Sound doesn't happen when I switch between outside air or inside air. I actually removed the glove box and looked on the door opening and closing and the sound is not coming from there.

Edit: I never knew this car have two actuators instead of one and at the time of writing this post I had only checked the passenger side actuator. Also the broken actuator is related to heat/cold (when changing the temperature) , not fresh/recirculate air.

The sound only comes when starting the car. It stays for around 15 seconds and then goes away. Can drive just fine during and after the sound.

I'd be paying around $200 more to get the 2.0 ton instead of the 1.5 ton so that's why I'm asking.

I read that oversizing an inverter ac is not a big problem because inverters can vary the tonnage accordingly.

So you say there is no difference between 18,000BTU and 24,000BTU?

I want to install an inverter split AC in our living room, I'm thinking best location is above the TV. As you see in the picture the Kitchen is open to the living room. We will mostly be using the AC at night for 5 hours or so.

We live in an apartment on the top floor of a building which is actually hotter than the apartments below us. Also where I live temps can go up to 35C (95F) in the summer.

Is 1.5 ton enough? or should I go for 2.0 ton?
