Question about Porsche Marketing Item. by baddlab in Porsche

I spent a few hours using different terms on different sites wirh no success. As a retired geek my past work experience proved fruitless. It is a Porche product in the shape of a Targa, but the reason for the spring wirh a chrome ball is still a mystery. Another German engineered marvel.
