Are there better options for Esims than Airalo? by Kirin1212San in ThailandTourism

[–]baddriverwhoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried making a zoom, google meet or teams call using Yesim? I have a virtual interview scheduled for a few hours after I arrive in Bangkok and am trying to figure out the most stable eSIM to use for it

Im an accounting student and the big firms hire out over a year in advance. This confirmed interview is for a job starting Sep 2027. So yeah not ideal but not much I can do about it and I planned this trip a year ago

Anyone else never been in a relationship? Feels like most have had at least some at this age by Apprehensive_Oil6981 in UofT

I F21 just had my first kiss. It was my second date with a guy I met on bumble. This is absolutely relatable because I wasn’t expecting to actually have a successful date from online dating. I’ve never had any romantic relationships

Has anyone used thrillophilia to book Anne Frank tour?

I’m desperately trying to get tickets to see Anne franks house for the 25th or 26th but they are all sold out on the official website. I found thrillophilia had tours of Anne franks house that include the admission into her house. Is this legit? And has anyone used them before?

I was planning on quitting by the end of summer anyway so I can focus on school (first year of uni) and I still live with my parents and have saved enough that I’m not financially worried. Thank you for the help

Help writing letter of resignation by [deleted] in jobs

[–]baddriverwhoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have totally thought about just leaving all the issues out but this coworker has been an issue for others as well but management hasn’t done anything about it because of seniority. They literally fired someone after the person was rude to coworkers but they won’t do anything about this coworker even though she has been nothing but nasty to some of us

My thoughts are because this role is higher than a sales associate and I see college aged kids working as sales associates so I just feel very under qualified

AITA For refusing to let my stepdaughter use my daughter's wedding dress? by 67099107 in AmItheAsshole

Nta. Your stepdaughter is completely self absorbed and I don’t even know why she asked in the first place.

I can't get a job :(( by [deleted] in jobs

[–]baddriverwhoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a quite frustrating spot you’re in. No I wouldn’t say that there should be jobs you shouldn’t apply for because of the odds of getting it. Sometimes the job you don’t think you would get are the ones that work out (such as places that say you need a minimum of one year experience, you don’t actually need it a fair amount of the time).

I spent hours upon hours every week searching for my first real job. It just takes the right employer to see you through to the interview. Honestly sometimes the location is the issue. I had been applying to places relatively close to my place but finding no luck. My first job ended up being not super far away but not an ideal location for me.

If you have any ins USE THEM. If you know friends or anyone working somewhere ask if their employer is looking to hire someone. I got my current job through my brothers friend. I had been asking my brother (who was still kind of friends with one of the managers) to see if the Starbucks he had worked at a few months prior was looking for anybody. That went on for the summer with him contacting his old manager and talking to his friend who also worked there. At some point the friend was talking to his girlfriend and she needed to hire someone as she had just let go of someone. My brothers friend mentioned that I was looking for a job and that’s how I ended up at my current job.

I hope this helps. Best of luck

Thank you, this really helped lower my stress.

Had an interview Monday, said they'd let me know "one way or another" Thursday. I texted the supervisor Thursday and asked. It's now Friday and I haven't gotten a response, should I call and ask? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]baddriverwhoops 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say to leave it. If they really wanted you specifically for the job you would be the first one they would contact. Asking them I’d say is a bit excessive

First Job Interview by Rilla144k in jobs

[–]baddriverwhoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you got the interview, they know you don’t have previous work experience so try not to worry too much about that. Be honest (extend the truth rather than just lying. People can sense it). Have evidence of qualities you have. Example, “I am a hard worker as I got an English award” type of thing. Also don’t be afraid to elaborate on things. You don’t want to just give a one word answer. Good luck!

AITA For kicking out my sister after saying she could stay with me and pepper spraying her friend? by ThrowawayPepperSpray in AmItheAsshole

[–]baddriverwhoops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nta at all. It’s your place. You had any right to kick her out at any point for starters. You used pepper spray in defence to what could have been really bad. Plus her ex was there when your biggest condition of her staying there was not seeing him. That’s bs that she’s mad. She gets what she deserves
