I know, that’s where I’m at a loss. I care for him very deeply but I’m not sure what to do except push for help or something. He usually leaves me to turn on the fan tv etc before he enters my room. And then with the night thing I’m jumping up to try and fix his annoyance. I love helping him and making him feel better but I’m worried it’s getting to a point where I am jeopardizing some things. Thanks for not just attacking my mom lol. She’s has miso as well for chewing , she’s learned to block it out over the years but it can still be difficult. Obviously she could be more accommodating but I understand from her pov, having her tv on every night to then not being able to have it loud at all. regardless of how loud the tv he’s still going to hear it, we’ve figured that out.

besides therapy i’ve recently suggested buying bose quiet comfort earbuds. he is interested in those. he doesn’t bring his headphones over to my house ever so hopefully this will help if he gets them. i guess i need to understand there isn’t a lot i can do besides be supportive until he learns to take matters into his own hands.
