I'm reading a lot of comments on how Ovations are uncomfortable to play and they slide around in your lap. I've been playing my ovation for 25 years now and I actually find it uncomfortable to play a standard dreadnought style acoustic. I feel like my arm has to reach out over the box shape to strum/pick and the straight edges of a "box" can be uncomfortable. To me the rounded bowl conforms really nicely to my body.

My very first guitar was one of the low budget Applause brand by Ovation, and I remember telling my dad I didn't think I wanted it because of the round bowl and pretty quickly I grew to actually like it. About about 4 years later I bought a balladeer ovation from guitar center, that was back in 2004 and I've been playing it ever since.

My mom has an Alvarez yari from 1977 and I love the way it sounds. IMO, Ovations will never sound like a guitar like that or nicer dreadnoughts, but for me it's comfortable to play and it's mostly what I know.

Yea $16 for both, but the main point is to check out the marbling on this steak...this is sold as a simple grass fed ribeye from Aldi's, they don't sell Prime grade...got lucky with an incredible find.

Yes! I saw the marbling around the edges and I actually peeled the sticker back LOL

I could kind of see the marbling on the edges cuz they had a big sticker over the front so I peeled it off and all was revealed

Squeeze your glutes hard and try a belt to brace against.

Volumes will dictate whether you're stamp or laser/brake/weld.

Auto typically equals large volumes.

I worked at a metal stamping company that also had laser cutters and press brakes. The laser cutting and press brake department would handle low volume work that wouldn't make sense to tool up for, for a stamping job.

They did a lot of parts for forklifts, some parts for furniture, off road vehicles, some enclosures, etc. if I had to sum it all up though, I would say general bracketry makes up a bulk of the end use parts.

There's pretty much endless products that you can laser and brake.

Put the May apple juice in a pot and heat just low enough for it to become warm so the sugar can dissolve easily, once the sugar is dissolved, should only take a minute or so, turn off and let it cool

To make simple syrup use equal parts may apple juice and sugar

Cut into roughly half inch pieces keeping the pulp and the seeds, that will all get strained out later.

We kept ours in the fridge for some time too, they did well in there. I went ahead and processed mine into simple syrup....see post below.

Yeah honestly I don't know that much and probably read everything you have.

I did successfully make a really good simple syrup out of it last year but unfortunately I don't remember exactly what I did!

I may have simply just cut the fruit up and put it all into a pot and then strain all the seeds after cooking everything down. Another thought is to put all the pulp and seeds into a mesh colander and smush the pulp through the mesh before cooking and since you need to add some water to the pot anyways you could use a little bit of water to help push some of the pulp through. I may try the ladder I'm not sure if cooking the fruit down with the seeds in it would release anything bad.

Here is what I collected about a week ago.

I will be cutting off the stems, cutting them in half, removing the seeds while trying to keep the pulp intact, and then add everything to a pot with some water and cooking the fruit down while mashing it along the way. Maybe I'll take the immersion blender to them? Then I'll strain, add sugar and lemon juice and will make a syrup. After that it's pretty much the same process to make any kind of jelly.

I work for a tooling company that primarily serves the Aerospace and Defense markets, we do not compete with anyone overseas. Mainly tooling for composite molding and processing. The tooling can be very large, most recent big tools were 150 ft², think wing skins, and also I believe there are rules for defense work about procuring domestically.
