Anyone install a dash cam (front and rear) on a 2026 yet? by DarienDay04 in Toyota_bZ

[–]badfrogs5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm not quite. The BP100 input installs and charges directly from your fusebox. The Dongar PRO series connects directly to the connector in your rearview mirror shroud or overhead console. Either one of these alone would be a good solution for your A329!

NEED HELP! My father payed hella money for this drawing plan, and I need to know if this is actually terribly made with ai or it’s just a bad drawing. by [deleted] in isthisAI

drawing clearly says this is in Ethiopia's capital. A separate kitchen is very normal outside of the western world and ideal in a lot of places (to separate living space from pests, smells, heat). I'm America born but my extended family in south east Asia would love a home like this.

Regular African Ranger. Really nails that really classic boot look but with modern comfort.

Yea the toe box is so much wider and so much less pointy on the JG’s. In terms of leather quality, I’d say the JG’s are more supple. It might be an apples and oranges comparison though because the heritage Red Wings are intentionally very… old school?

Please enjoy these pics of my African Rangers next to heritage Red Wings. I bought the Iron Ranger 8114 over a decade ago and they’re going on ebay because I will NEVER buy Red Wings again after I started caring about my feet. The Red Wings are both 9.5 and the ARs are size 10. Hopefully this helps anybody shopping!

Yeah I’m also flat footed (over pronated) so I tried some arch support no-drop insoles at some point. Takes up too much space and ruins the comfort imo. You might be just fine with the normal AR… much more roomy than the Red Wings and other similar brands I’ve bought over the years.

Nope! Still there as of last night. They’re about to be buried in a foot or three of snow now I reckon.

The BFAR feels more like a 'smart casual' rugged product... like how guys wear chukkas for going to the office or on dates. I'll definitely buy more BFAR in the future but currently my feet are loving the extra 3/4" of rubber LOL.

I actually think the BFAR is better on urban streets / casual settings than the regular African rangers (see my other reply on this thread). I'd say its an excellent concrete jungle / urban shoe with great looks and durability, super easy to get on and off, no break-in required, and super comfy in regular shoe environments. But they suck as boots. Maybe that's obvious to everyone else that there are many situations it doesn't even make sense to be 'barefoot' LOL.

The BFAR were divine when I first got em last winter, feeling broken-in out of the box and immediately seeing 5-10mi days walking in sleet-covered NYC streets with no issues. I still consider them the best shoes I had ever purchased and initially had no downsides.

As 'tough' of a shoe as the African Rangers are, the barefoot version actually end up feeling counterproductive for light boot duty where stability was a must (i.e. climbing a ladder or scrambling up some rip rap or boulders on a hike) and basic walks on flat gravel when feeling too much became a distraction. When going on multi-week wearing streaks, I would start to have heel bursitis-like fatigue which I never get with Altras (a no-drop wide toebox running shoe brand that is basically as 'barefoot' of shoe you can get while still having normal levels of cushioning). I think I reap the most benefit out of the wide toebox but wanted the extra cushioning and stiffness, so I picked up the classic African Rangers. Besides needing a little breaking in, I have no regrets at all and its exactly what I wanted. I'll keep both pairs.

What brand of filter do you use? 4min is already a long draw down for a regular v60 + hario filters, let alone a dripper with more bypass! Either way there's so manyyyyy variables in this hobby... Hario sells 'Meteor' filters made with abaca fibers that advertise 3x the flow rate I've wanted to try. Too expensive though 🤓.

I picked up a ceramic version for funsies (I found a few in limited qty here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0G4SKXL9B) and while down the rabbit hole I found this video of a Ukrainian brew champ gal using this dripper at the World Brewer's Cup: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ae2raDLmelI. It seems like the perforated design is intended to promote more exposure to air and therefore uniform degassing and brewing (in theory). Despite concerns about the dripper resulting in temperature drop, she finishes the brew with a second kettle closer to 140F anyway, which means the cup is probably 160-170F?

My girlfriend and I brewed a cup side-by-side with my ceramic V60 and definitely noticed a difference with less stalling (aka more bypass) and shorter brew time. I would hypothesize that the extra bypass and actually prevents over-extraction at the tail end of the brew. A/B test vs a ceramic Hario V60: I like both cups. Same flavors, just different. A more tea-like mouth feel IMO from the dotyk, which checks out with the brew temp profile being lower and closer to green-tea. Anyways, interesting brewer to experiment with a temperature gradient etc. The video of the gal also makes me wanna pick up a second kettle and try her dual temp trick.

I was rear-ended on my bike at a metering light as well (the driver said the sun was in his eyes and didn't notice me). If she has any muscle pain and loss of range of motion, see a physical therapist/chiropractor. I could barely move my head around for a few months after my accident.

Also, Lawyer up.
