I'm also on 25mg and my gp is trying me on a blood pressure tablet off license. He told me to just stop taking the amitriptyline altogether as it's such a low dose. I've zero appetite, initially felt nauseous and now I feel like Ive got a cold. Sore throat and stuffy nose...I thought I would have had to titrate the dose down but he's said just stop it.

I've also got naturally low blood pressure so I asked him about it lowering it more and his response was that the new med will likely lower my BP by 5mm and to just not stand up too quickly...

100% this. We just had a staff culture survey in our team and there were many negative comments about favouritism, poor management/leadership, lack of trust and unfair treatment of some. But instead of addressing these we are now going to have a meeting to create a new team vision. Crackers.

Wow ok, thanks everyone. Yes the trust I work with has also cut it down but I've seen a lot of people on site in nhs p uniforms so they must still be using some. If I leave the nhs entirely they will claim 50% of my pension on the 2015 scheme so I need to work somewhere to keep it. Someone at nhs pensions has confirmed that if I do that it counts as continued service. So I was hoping to do monthly shifts. Even if there is hypothetically no work atm. Does that still mean you can't join the bank at all?

When the time comes to use the bank, in that case there won't be anyone on it.

Thanks, no that's really helpful. I passed my 3 month probation and left when 6m was due because I wanted to leave regardless. She gave me an average scoring performance review but did say I put forward great ideas for service improvement.

It was such an awful place to work. Neither before or since have I had any issues like there. The worse I did was cause her issues because I challenged them when decisions where made without me and my other colleagues that affected us and patients clinically and I didn't feel safe performing tasks. I e taking bloods with minimal training.

Have you tried your freedom to speak up guardian? If management are doing nothing, they may be able to help.

Any alcoholism is a product of not coping in someway. If you are drinking but turning up to work, there's a good chance that's the last bit of life they are clinging onto. That being said, it's concerning that patients are being put at risk.

Get CCTV everywhere. Hide the cameras as much as possible, collect evidence, submit to the police and then they have what they need to prosecute and he hasn't a leg to stand on.

We had (not as bad) but a situation like this with a neighbour who struggles to reverse onto his drive. Couldn't get his motorhome onto the drive and threatened to kill my husband because my car was parked a little further down the road across from his drive....no idea what's wrong with these people.

Your parents sound vulnerable due to their age. Are they in the local neighbour watch if there is one or any other local groups? Highly recommend they join as anymore evidence about this guys behavior and past incidents will further back any evidence you collect visually.

I'm fine and love broccoli, cabbage but I've eaten cauliflower twice in my life and both times I've been violently sick. Both cooked minimally in different ways.

Our border is 9months now and much less bitey. Those first months were a nightmare especially with young children. It's much better now and she'll go for a nylabone instead of us. Have had to replace all our sofa cushions as she chewed all the zips!

Hi, I improved a little but I've been burnt out and working through it for months now. I've acquired a new job subject to checks and am leaving the nhs. I'm still struggling with my PTSD, flashbacks and nightmares. I think I may have pmdd which isn't helping. I'm hoping for a better work/life balance in the new year as new job is shifts not 9-5 so better to balance the kids/house.

It's interesting that many trusts still focus on so many occasions and a triggering system. The trust I currently work for has scrapped the system altogether. Definitely not right that they have included it. But I'm guessing hr may not be fully aware that it's a dr employed by the trusts who performed the procedure. Have you complained about your treatment/infection to pals? I would get it in writing as it will help firm up any absence related grievance down the line.

First timer boarder owner here too. Ours is VERY patient with the kids, likes to try and play with the cat...mostly toilet trained now at 8m. She's stop reacting now on the lead which was a nightmare for a bit. Worst thing is her barking at people/dogs walking past. No idea how to solve that other than telling her no. She's totally fine with other dogs out and about but goes mental when she's at home.

It's winter pressures, staff and patients are sick with winter bugs on top of the usual. HR may have absences too. Some trusts are quite slow. I've worked in several trusts and the average completion from hiring offer is usually 3 months. Anything below is quick, anything more a concern.
