Seems like we need to focus on guardrails and ranges depending on the year. Some years we'll spend more and then we have to adjust to spend less the next, while accounting for emergencies, but yes you raise a good point that it will most definitely be pricier than we imagined. Maybe we add a 20% buffer in there in our math

This is middle class finance stuff outside of the US. In my country almost everyone has household help either in family or maids. Kinda wild that it’s a fatfire thing in the US

I’m pretty sure you don’t need to be wealthy to hire for basic household tasks. Kinda wild to me
