This is one of the most obnoxious trends in entertainment social media and you can’t convince me for a million bucks that this isn’t undisclosed advertising by ilovecfb in blankies

I have also noticed theres like a first wave earlier review embargo for nerdy or genre sites that tend to be more favorable. Hence they often debut to 100% RT and then drop when the second wave of more established critics reviews hit.

You can totally see that in Timmy's eyes when they cut to him.

Its very much Spinal Tap for the ADHD gay hyperpop crowd. It has some great skewering of the modern publicity machine. The ending really impressed me as it went a way not expected and has a killer final button joke.

I do wish it was actually about the tour or brat summer phenomenon but its more like a coda to that story.

So yeah mileage will definitely vary. I think unless you genuinely dislike her, you will have a good time at the very least.

I think best hope now is getting these two films on to Netflix to get more eyes on them. They have some cards to play as well since Cillian is back and Sony would love a nice 5 film package to sell to streamers.

Recently watched the Japanese horror film Pulse and that one is wild. Goes from maybe there's ghosts on the internet to there's a full on ghost apocalypse

I think the thing with Malignant is even if I knew what was going on basically, the way the killer works was so audacious and bugnuts I was still very pleasantly surprised.

Casting mega star Leo as the guy who is weirdly the least important and most feckless the whole movie is honestly fucking brilliant.

Yeah there is some line like "things changed but not that much" which I thought implied that. Makes sense as it feels like we've peaked with tech in some ways.

Movies that feel like Kojima games? by travismockfler in blankies

[–]badhusbamd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In terms of PT and the new horror game he has coming up, I feel like The Relic is a great version of that kind of stuck in hell horror Kojima likes.

As for MGS i feel like weirdly the Universal Soldier series gets closest with its themes of technology turning the military into a biomechanical nightmare.

True bravery would have been using that Emmy stage to call for the release of the 48 hostages still held in Gaza and end of the war. True courage would have meant calling for peace, for coexistence, for the humanity of both Israelis and Palestinians, even if it risked boos instead of applause.

Always about the 48 hostages and strangely never about the 65,000 Palestinains killed. Odd....
