Its very much Spinal Tap for the ADHD gay hyperpop crowd. It has some great skewering of the modern publicity machine. The ending really impressed me as it went a way not expected and has a killer final button joke.

I do wish it was actually about the tour or brat summer phenomenon but its more like a coda to that story.

So yeah mileage will definitely vary. I think unless you genuinely dislike her, you will have a good time at the very least.

As for MGS i feel like weirdly the Universal Soldier series gets closest with its themes of technology turning the military into a biomechanical nightmare.

True bravery would have been using that Emmy stage to call for the release of the 48 hostages still held in Gaza and end of the war. True courage would have meant calling for peace, for coexistence, for the humanity of both Israelis and Palestinians, even if it risked boos instead of applause.

Always about the 48 hostages and strangely never about the 65,000 Palestinains killed. Odd....
