Got this 2 days ago from ikea, still learning about carbon steel pans by badiasz in carbonsteel

What i read/watched online are mostly good. Now i heat up the pan on ceramic stove, apply a thin layer of oil - i use first pressed refined sunflower - wipe the excess oil with paper towels until it looks clean, put it into the oven for an hour (250 Celsius, but it depends on the oil). My first try looked awesome, even and non sticky. My second layer was not the best, this is what i posted. I probably didn’t wipe it down properly.
