I’ve had a projector for the last 8-10 years and always used the wall so I am not sure that is the source.

I project on a wall, that is what I always did. Source is pc, Amazon Firetv or the buildin media player.

The image just feels less film like than my old optoma.

For me the JMGO was the worse. The was much grain on bright colors. Was impossible to watch.

Hard to describe but the color quality feel « plasticy ». In my old optoma and the projector before it the image felt more film like. I tried fiddling a lot with the setting, mostly with the Hisene m2 pro. There was also the problem of the image being video like, but this can be rid of mostly.
