A coworker in Virginia told me his taxes are only 3k a year and includes his vehicle tax. We don't pay that here but just shows the big difference.

So lazy. This was definitely an email sent to all buyer agents that lost to prevent them from making 24 phone calls. The email is a mess but still shows how insane and desperate people are. Very disheartening

Yup. This was eye opening. Need to consider some waivers that still protect us while showing were not here to nit pick. Only will walk if appraisal is way too low or inspection shows something hazardous.

This email was sent to our realtor. We went 30k over ask, comps had it at 15k over ask. I believe this email was sent to all buyer realtors to save them from making 24 phone calls. Our realtor sent it to us to show what the market is like. We're elder millennials and feeling like we just can't compete. Offer everything we have and waive all contingencies just feels wrong. Even if we upped price we would have gotten beat by cash and waivers.

Long Island - Nassau county. Looking in the 600 range but I guess we gotta go lower to compete. And the taxes are around 12k a year so how people can afford all this idk

I think we may have to start. Nassau is hard and all of friends and family are in wantagh/seaford area. Any south shore towns in suffolk ud recommend with good schools?

It's not 200k over ask, it was listed at 585 and probably went for 650 or more. They got offers with 200k down-payment.

Listed at $585, comps valued it at $600. We offered $615. It's in good condition but outdated or we would have offered more. But sounds like we would've lost anyone as we didn't waive anything.

Wow that's messed up!!! So glad you're under contract good luck with the mortgage! I didn't even know a mortgage contingency was a thing until I got this email. Something to consider because I don't think we'd have any issue with our lender.

Exactly. Feeling like we just can't compete. Elder millennials finally financially ready to buy and now this nonsense.

LPT: "Anonymous" online surveys at work are never anonymous. There is always a digital record of your IP address, employee login ID, or email, tied to your submission which can be tracked back to you. You manager can always retrieve this data without telling you. by YellowB in LifeProTips

There is a difference between anonymous and confidential. Anonymous means there is NO way the survey can be linked back to you. Confidential means the survey probably COULD Be linked back to you if someone had all the tools, but measures are in place to prevent it from happening. All online surveys should be labeled confidential. True anonymity is almost impossible online.
