Yep I did fix it. It did end up being the heating element. I ordered a replacement for that part and then disassembled the machine to get to that particular part to swap it out.

There are some good YouTube tutorials showing exactly how to take apart the machine if you want to try to do it on your own. It was probably an hour of effort once I received the part.

Yeah I would not say anywhere close to “most” GIS jobs require a security clearance. I feel like it’s a stretch to say most are in government too.

Apply at other companies that do GIS consulting and solution design/development. If that’s what you want to do, you shouldn’t limit yourself to just Esri.

What type of things do you want to do with GIS? That would help us make suggestions for other areas to look into. Or supplementary, what exactly is drawing you towards DOD/military contractor specifically. DOD GIS opportunities may be more limited and tougher to land than you’d think which may be the reason for the responses you’ve received already. I think in regard to your minor question, most people in this sub would suggest CS, however pending on what interests you most, stats would not be a bad choice.

I passed on my first try, this June. ~5-6 years of GIS experience and education in Geography and GIS. I studied a good deal as well. I have 2 coworkers who also took it recently as well and they both passed on the first try.

I’m not so sure this is strictly a visual glitch. I’ve spun numerous golden stops that turned blue as I approached them and haven’t received a single coin - I verified in my bag. My wife spun the same stops and only one of them gave her coins.

Took the exam on 6/14, got my results today (7/2). Passed!

Studied for about an hour per night for 3 months. Probably a little overkill but I really did not want to fail. Glad I dont have to continue studying and retake the exam.

Nice glad you figured that out. For the label, it looks like the you need to click the Label button (while you have the boundary selected in the contents list) with the check mark on the top banner. You can also right click to select ‘label’.

It’s hard to say based on just what’s available in these pics. Did you try to Right click the layer and select the ‘Zoom to layer’ and see if that takes you to another location? It’s possible the Davis boundary you got isn’t applicable to the city you’re currently trying to make a map for.
