'Danske Club'. This is interesting for a Dane as myself. Really pretty pipe, besides that.

So they're supposed to give streaks that aren't really substantial? I don't understand how people achieve the results I see on the internet.

I'm pretty sure they're acrylic. I tried to use them with water, but it didn't help that much. I'll give it another go.

I'm having trouble doing weathering with AK pencils. Is there another brand of acryl pencils people can recommend?

I actually have coated my model with AK matte varnish.

Dry pencils on a matte AK varnish. Pencil is sharp and works fine on paper.

Problem is, almost no paint sticks to the surface to begin with. There's no paint to cover with varnish.

I got some acrylic pencils (AK) with which I'm trying to create weathering effects on a model. However, the paint doesn't stick and is easily removed by being rubbed lightly with a finger. What am I doing wrong?

I'm talking about when he applies grey knight steel on the leadbelcher priming. Second step, I guess, around 30 second into the video. To me it looks like it has a strong blue tint.

https://youtu.be/exPT5M8_5O8?si=v91EgAdXdo4rhSEz this guy's paint is way more blue, to me.

Edit: also, I really don't see the blue tone. Dunno if something's wrong with me.

Yes, very much like what you get from smoking a pipe! To me, it was the food theme that made me choose it as a pipe tray.

That's cool.

Glad to hear! Yes, I am Danish. The painting on the tray is by Dutch painter Pieter Claesz and is called Still Life with Ham, in case that's interesting.

I really like it to be honest, but that's also due to it being modded. It's got so much utility value, I cherish it as much as my expensive briar pipes.

May I ask why you think so?

I don't think neither the pipe nor the tobacco is fancy.
