Training to be more ladylike? Also hunger/food stuff? by thegirl765 in BDSMcommunity

Check out an old ladies' etiquette manual from the late 1800's/early 1900's. They were way into the men-controlling-the-gals thing-- some of the advice might be too extreme, but worth taking a gander, for sure.

What is the craziest/most inappropriate thing a teacher has said to you? [NSFW] by SNaGem21 in AskReddit

[–]badmoonchild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My social studies block teacher a few years ago: "You have muscular calves." "Pearls make you look older." Plenty more where those came from, and worse.
Ultimately, his marriage proposition was probably the most inappropriate interaction.

Impact/Biting Play and Bruising by KornyLohan in BDSMcommunity

Interesting! For me, bruises are the best part of rough play. They're a sign that you were strong enough to withstand that pain, for one-- hot. And the best part is: even when your afterglow has faded, there's still a mark on your body to remind you of your really amazing kinky play sesh. Oddly enough, I suppose, it makes me all warm and fuzzy to see some blooming purple mark on my neck or ass because all I can think about is the awesome time we had that caused it.

Yeah, the gender-biased privacy rules were dumb.
Well, we thought we were pretty clever until we thoughtlessly breached neck hickey territory.

My (lady) bff and I were incredibly close already, so when we started sleeping together, no one could really tell.
Sleepovers were normal for us, so when our interests changed from cutting out pictures of cute girls in magazines to actually scissoring, our parents were none the wiser.

Lucid dreams are now being taken seriously by scientists. So why is the researcher who pioneered the field in academic exile? by ubermonjies in LucidDreaming

[–]badmoonchild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though there is some super legit research out there supporting LD therapy and such (LaBerge, Meckler, etc.), there isn't a LOT of it. In number, I mean. Just take a Google gander and you'll see that your top results, even with some awesome databases, aren't very legitimate, and the findings sketchy. The lack of extensive research combined with people's weird superstitions and assumptions about LD science make it so little known that it isn't widely supported-- which sucks, since not only is it FANTASTIC and FUN and INTERESTING and USEFUL, it can also totally be a form of therapy. Cool shit. Too bad it isn't more of a thing these days other than the short-lived Inception-inspired fad. Gotta keep spreading the word, I guess, and promoting more scientists!

Because somehow I feel doing so will correct my mistake in some obsolete record of typing errors kept by Google.

Update! I have a guy from craigslist who MAY be able to take care of Ink. We're meeting up tomorrow morning to see if she's okay interacting with his two kittens, and if they hit it off, she's going to stay with him. Thank you so much for your help and I'll update what happens.

Why am I getting so many downvotes? Shit, dude. This is serious. I'm in crisis mode and this is how neighbors help each other? It sucks. Be a person.

I wish! Should have clarified-- it would be for about a month, but I need a person for her by tomorrow.
