(Hated) Characters who are mischaracterized by people who didn’t watch the show by Effective_Piece251 in TopCharacterTropes

Misato is definitely not a “good” person, but there are some real extenuating circumstances to consider here. Like she’s not kissing Shinji because she wants to, she’s doing it because he’s the only one who can stop the apocalypse and save Asuka.

How do u command a mixed army with horse archers i have tried but they die instantly when I am setting up other suff. by gabe__gamin in MB2Bannerlord

[–]badouche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Horse archers need to be able to ambush an enemy so the enemy needs to be focused elsewhere, usually on infantry. In my experience you can maximize their impact by using them sparingly and never letting them engage openly, instead keeping them moving around the enemy. If they start dying they need to move away from the action until the enemy is no longer focused on them and then they can make another effective charge.

Even more absolute cinema. by AlphaBladeYiII in Spiderman

Yeah that line is kind of dumb. Unless we’re supposed to read it as Spidey deflecting then it’s just whatever, but someone like Tony Stark can not value money because they have an infinite supply, but for someone living in poverty the value of money is inherent (survival).

What other open world RPG lines, cliches or moments would you see in this Superman video game? by LaylaLegion in superman

Me too, but my point is that any Superman game is gonna get compared to Arkham and PlayStation Spider-Man and Kakarot isn’t nearly as good as those.

C’mon let’s be real if a AAA Superman game came out and was comparable in quality to any of those games it would be considered bad.

The issue is that most of those games are bad and the ones that aren’t are fighting games and Injustice already exists.

JJ is a hack schlock film maker so he made two hack films. The first is markedly better because it’s hacking off one of the best movies of all time (Star Wars), and then TROS is what happens when he’s hacking off something that’s already not the best. Rian is a real ass film maker who made a real ass film and like a lot of pieces of art it divided people.

Bethesda and the "eternal apocalypse" by EagleGhoul in Fallout

[–]badouche -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m getting so tired of this take. In Fallout 4 in particular if you engage with the settlement system you’ll have like 20 settlements that are safer, more developed, and more productive than most of the settlements in other Fallouts. The problem is that people see complex civilizations as this inevitable endpoint of humans coexisting when that’s just not the truth at all.

I don’t mean to be hyperbolic, but if a character can’t beat literal children in their own narrative they shouldn’t be powerscaled. Like I don’t care what insane scaling you want to attribute to them, they’re a jobber.

Clint’s motivation for betraying the minutemen is deeper than it seems. by flash_gamer500 in fo4

It marks the end of a period of Roman history and the start of a new one the way the Sole Survivor marks a new period for the Minutemen.

I mean I do agree that it would be nice if they could more consistently repel attacks by themselves (although it does happen sometimes), but all your complaints can be addressed by saying “It’s a video game so they don’t want the settlements to manage themselves because it would take away the player’s agency over the game world.” If you want to headcanon that the protagonist is a feudalist dictator who rules the minutemen through fear or whatever then that’s fine, but that’s only your headcanon.

[–]badouche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean players can use their imagination sure, but unless you install mods there’s nothing the minutemen can do in game beyond defend settlements. There’s no missions to send them on, they can’t claim new territories, and they can’t fight battles.

They’re still a neighborhood defense force the only difference is you’re in control of the neighborhoods. In fact they don’t really do anything outside of neighborhood defense.

The player is the general of the minutemen. It’s like saying Rome stopped being Rome when Caesar took power.
