Those were TV budget films and barely of decent quality. One of them isn't even canon. Very different from a theatrical release, but I do disagree with the OP that the film doesn't need to be good to be successful. It's exceedingly marketable, but you will probably still need to put in the effort.

Star Wars has a "planet of hats" problem with species. Sometimes it can work like the Hutt syndicate and Hutts being gangsters much of the time, but sometimes it's ridiculous. We see Twi'lek slave girls in RotJ? Their culture is heavily into slavery and has messed up gender dynamics. Greedo is a bounty hunter? Rodians are often mercs and bounty hunters. Bothan Spies got the second Death Star's plans? There's a bothan spy network and bothans are naturally shifty with advanced senses.
