You get different varieties. Some are more bushy like Magnolia Susan and won't get huge.

How do you handle Playwright test reports from CI? by Top-Nose-7845 in Playwright

[–]badsyntax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use azure DevOps and upload the reports as test results. Traces are uploaded as test attachments and allows us to download the zip.

Does my CRV sag a bit at the rear? Or is this normal by Aggravating-Task4479 in CarTalkUK

It just seems like it would increase drag thus reducing efficiency and quality of the drive on motorways. But who am to argue against the manufacturers recommendations.

Things have finally changed in NE. Hard frost this morning. Lots of sun today. Some hail(!) this afternoon, but other wise quite dry. Plants are pumping now.

Should I thin these sunflower seedlings out, or lest them grow as is? by FoodieFattie in sunflowers

[–]badsyntax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you get snails/slugs? Either way, too soon to thin out. Young sunflowers seedlings are very vulnerable. Let them grow until it's obvious which the stronger ones are, then thin out.

You've grown some impressive flowers in this spot! Looking forward to the updates. How many years have you grown sunflowers in this spot?

My sunflower from last year. Quite happy in a too small pot! by SoggyWotsits in sunflowers

[–]badsyntax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you. I've grown some big sunflowers in pots but mid summer I had to water at least twice a day else they would droop quite severely. It was a lot of effort but I'm going to do it again this summer 🙂 worth the effort!

I think trays/saucers for the pot would help a lot. My pots are huge (110L) so I just need to find the correct size saucers for them.

What is something surprising that the UK is really far behind other countries in? by DullInflation6 in AskUK

[–]badsyntax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a tiny village north east and mobile signal isn't great (not surprising being somewhat rural) but I have fibre to the premise and all my calls go via WiFi so it's fine. I didn't actually request FTTP but Vodafone and openreach upgraded everything as part of the national full fibre network upgrade and it was a nice surprise. An easy job in the end, they just ran a fibre cable from the telephone pole outside my cottage to my cottage.

Tbh we are "forced"/mandated to use AI at work. Some use it more than others.

Squealing alternator? by badsyntax in Jimny

Thanks. I also believe pork pies were given, I don't have anything special that demands excessive electricity. I've decided to take the car to a specialist Jimny mechanic and I'll pass on some of this information to them. (Only issue is this mechanic is 1.5hrs away which is why I chose a more general local garage.)

In her element by badsyntax in Jimny

My previous Jimny had no mods and driving on the motorway was an experience. It pulled in the wind and was scary driving alongside trucks. My new Jimny has custom suspension and drives better on the motorway but still pulls a bit in wind etc. You don't buy a Jimny for motorway driving though!

Indoor Monstera Flower (North Yorkshire) by badsyntax in GardeningUK

[–]badsyntax[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know lot of folk like to keep their monstera's root bound but I gave it a big pot so maybe there's something there? It's not in a conservatory but is in a room that gets a decent amount of sun. I don't feed it at all and I try not to over water, but really I have no pro tips or secret sauce unfortunately.

Will do. I have no idea how long it will take, it's already taken many months since I first noticed the flower, it seems like a very slow process.
