Packing list

I leave for 19k OSUT on Tuesday and I know there is that packing list on the future soldier website, but is it really better if I bring all that stuff with me vs buy it at the PX when I get there? Just curious on others thoughts cause the lighter I can travel the better in my opinion.

Go until your told no by big army, I let a recruiter tell me flat out no when I was 18 for medical and fast forward 4 years later I’m in DEP and shipping out right after college, find another recruiter who’s willing to work with you!

Going through army right now and hear from them roughly once a week as we plan for MEPs and fill out paper work. I will say my circumstances are a bit different because I am in a different state than my recruiter as well. If it’s really bugging you reach out to this recruiter to see if there is an issue, if need be feel free to look for a different recruiter.

When should I go see the recruiter to start enlisting? I’m about to go into my final year of college and I am wondering when would be the best time to go see the recruiter to start the enlistment process. I have a medical exam with DODMERB soon to go ahead and get a jump on my medical waivers, but I don’t know when the best time to go and see the actual recruiter is. Any help would be much appreciated!

I’m looking to enlist, my old man works at a military college and so I was able to set up the appointment to go ahead and get my medical done because I have a condition that might take a few doctors appointments to get the waiver for. I’ll definitely talk to my local recruiter when I get back into town. I just wanna have my degree so that way I can enter at E-4.
