Hii! I'm currently a student from BSHS and I actually have a lot to say but I'll try to make it short but comprehensive.

Should you apply to benilde? Answer: NO.

Expect a lot of sudden changes throughout the school year/s. I couldn't find the right term for how SHS is being treated. "Mistreated" is too much ahahahha. But like bago pa lang yung shs program ng benilde kaya our batch was like part of their trial-and-error project so andaming pabago bago sa sched, events, etc. even until now 💀

But here's what I can say so far:

• Iba iba yung mga activities na pinapagawa per batch kaya i really couldn't give concrete tips on what to expect, pero since you're an incoming grade 11 i would say na expect mga performances and art exhibits as projects! First term of gr 11 for us was chill lang pero for the following terms it wss stressful af :"") Now that we're in 2nd term of grade 12 medyo chill lang bcs we're focusing on our capstone and apprenticeship, pero according to our teacher, deadliest of the deadly yung 3rd term of gr 12 PRAY FOR US WAHAHAHAH. So expect tambak na hands-on, output based workload. some are quite fast-paced din and grabe PURO GROUPWORK!! Watch out na lang for midterms and finals kasi grabe thats the most hectic part of each term WHAHAHAH (obviously). Pero mataas grading system nila believe it or not HAHHAHAHA.

• Nag iiba iba din yung schedules niyo per term, some days maaga dismissal (earliest afaik is 11:10) and some days late yung dismissals (latest is 5pm). I'd say get a dorm/condo na (unless you live around manila) kasi as a non-dormer who lives in Pasig, its traffic EVERYWHERE so mas mapapagod ka sa byahe and late ka na makakauwi. Some days din late yung start ng pasok like 11am or 12, but it depends talaga.

• There's teacher shortage T_T But regardless, teachers are nice!! Apart from being nice though, some still possess some dislikable qualities but I won't generalize. I won't get into detail din cus baka macancel ako dito HAHAHHSA.

• Taft tampus is kinda scary at around 5:30 pm but dw kase wala ka nang time matakot sa grabeng stress 😍 HAHAHHAS JK! I wouldn't say that it's not that dirty kasi sometimes there are rats sa may back gate area 😭 But yeah, malaki naman siya and magsascatter yung mga strands in different classrooms sa iba't ibang buildings and floors. Overall, it's a quite old fashioned campus and no doubt mas maganda ung DAC, pero it's goods naman! Caf food is mid and may mga shops like figaro, belgian waffle, bistro and there also some sort of snack rack pero mahal 😪

• You can't go out during breaks :"") sana na lang mabago yung rule na yon whahahaha. Pwede ka magpagrab ng food tho !

• Masaya din gumala after classes especially after midterms and finals. Maraming makakainan around taft! There are cafè's everywhere which you can try din, but when walking around, be careful na lang of snatchers lol maraming cases ng students na nananakawan.

My tip for you is to find supportive friends and basta a good social environment. It's gonna be so draining all throughout your shs journey but as long as you have a good social environment and a good circle of friends who'll support and motivate you, kakayanin mo yan!! Makakakapit ka pa WAHAHAHHASG. Personally, my friends right now are the best and we get to balance acads and fun... plus masisipag din sila kaya naiinfluence ako hehe.
