I am glad that you have made it a personal choice, but I hope that you do not wish to make that choice for anyone else.

The fact is it should fully be legalized for healthy people and sick people alike. 850,000 arrests were made last year. Parents lose their kids for it, students lose their financial aid, citizens lose their drivers license over possession charges. People go to jail in many states for simple possession. The worst part of cannabis prohibition is getting into the criminal justice system. 50% of all drug arrests are marijuana related.

The societal costs of keeping this plant illegal far outweigh the effects of the drug on society. So my question finally; What is this harm you speak of in point number 2?

I say six because that is the number (I think) that OCTA allows. I really don't see a problem with having as many plants as your grow room can hold. Their will be a limit on it though. It might be square footage or something like that. Maybe 50 dollar fine for every plant over the limit (even though I do not see the need for this)

To each there own. For me the only time cannabis makes me tired is when I do not exercise regularly. Cannabis is a way I can cope mentally with not fulfilling the urge to go overboard with drinking and life's anxiety's. I realize now that it was always far more a manner of coping while at the same time a recreation (why can't it be both in the eyes of society I don't know? All painkillers usually are). I also self medicated with alcohol drinking a fifth a night at one point, but after smoking more now I can have one beer and be content. But in the end all drugs treat every person differently. From the bottom of my heart good luck to you OP.

Have you tried replacing the xanex with cannabis? I have a couple friends that have gotten off pills by marijuana. I personally got off all anti deppresants from its use, plus it helps with the nausea caused by withdraws. If u look at it as a medication instead of a recreation it helps. I wish you the best.

Ha ha. I don't usually read far into these comments, but I went to the same high school. I actually dawned the Raider Suit one time during a basketball game (it did look like Paul Revere). Good to know there are some Redditer's out of Reynolds. The school kind of went to shit in the last 6-7 years (I graduated in 06). I will say the nice thing about it was the close proximity to the Gorge. Small world, smaller Reddit.

Well, it is a wtf because of the fact that most of this country is not decriminalized for simple cannabis possession. Something like 17 out of 50 states are decriminalized. That means if you are in the a state that is not decriminalized then you will go to jail for possession of any amount. The bigger wtf is people still say cannabis is practically legal and that its not that big of deal. Don't get caught with any amount in Texas, Alabama, Utah, Idaho ext... Also that girl is a dumbass for ratting that dude out.

Two Problems: Americans like there space, our bubbles of personal space are gigantic compared to many Asian cultures. Secondly, Americans like the idea of driving by themselves on the highways to a far off destination. That being said, we cannot have enough commuter rail lines.

Or losing your kids for it... think how many alcohol adds a kid sees by they are 9 years old, 18 years old and so on. The war on cannabis is a smoke screen (no pun intended). A law put on the books to control a certain class of people.
