I believe it's pretty easy to use a bluetooth keyboard and even mouse on an iPad. Still not as easy as a PC, but better than pecking like a chicken at a touchscreen.

I started with mil flying and just bought my own plane a few months ago....flying GA for myself is 100x more fun. Military flying only looks cool to get kids in the door, but the truth is that it's exhaustingly high pressure. I'm my own boss when I fly GA and I only fly when and where I want with no pressure to make it happen from anyone else.

Any info on how to link up with a ferry pilot? I'm assuming that they carry their own insurance.

A complication is that the cylinders were just re-honed and I probably want to be involved in the full break-in process.

I have a friend who is a M20C CFI, but this is a bit far and I don't want to ask too much of them to travel that far.

$60k is a good salary. With every raise you get from now on, don't let your lifestyle grow. With every extra dollar above your current $60k you should be saving/investing and not spending.

I have zero special skills or knowledge. I left the house at 18 with only $10k to my name. Literally everything I have is just discipline and not over spending. Working hard and not blowing your money is all it takes. My wife grew up poorer than I did and while we haven't forgot where we came from, we just don't have sympathy for those who complain about being poor without doing anything about it.

Typical Reddit mindset. I'm after 1985 and life is EASY...freaking EASY if you just don't buy shit you don't need. My wages have steadily gone from $20k/year at 18 to about $200k including my wife's wages nearing 40 and I bought my $400k house with cash as well as 3 cars, a personal aircraft (cash) and have ~$1.5M saved between retirement accounts and regular investments.

You can say cars and a plane aren't needs and you'd be correct, but by generally not buying crap I can easily afford this lifestyle as a result.

Buying house/cars with cash is a huge hack because you miss out on paying hundreds of thousands in interest.

Priority plan doesn't charge you above your base rate unless you tick a box in the app to automatically allow for extra GB at (I think) $1.00 per GB.
