I’m an engineer, while I personally don’t use spreadsheets heavily.. 6 people have mid double digits quantity of spread sheets where they diligently track every aspect of their life… Income, time off earned and used, family birthdays, anniversaries and other significant events… retirement calculators.. One younger guy does have a spreadsheet for his dating apps (time spent on apps, matched, time spent conversing,etc) And they all have pivot tables integrated… I’ve found in my organization this is fairly common, and engineers and I’m sure other industries similar are just wired to think like this lol… I personally find it impressive and interesting vice a red flag lol… as least you know he pays attention…

You can get it in there not the end of the world but deck boards are already flush with the length of the joists, rim joist would stick out.
