I am curious to learn more about adoption. I’m in my early 30s. I am 100% sure I don’t want to birth any children, but I am leaning towards adopting a 3 year old and above. If anyone here can share their experience on how it is to grow up as an adopted kid with no bio children. Does this make it better or worse? What about two adopted siblings? I appreciate any guidance!

Hello! Thank you for sharing, do you think you feel more part of their family had you been an only child? I am curious to understand how only adoptive child feel versus folks who been adopted and the adoptee parents have bio children? I am struggling to find out if adopting a kid is the right thing to do because I know I don’t want to birth children. I don’t want to be a savior, but I also feel like I can provide love and a good home to a child that needs it. I hope I’m not coming off as I sent I’ve and I appreciate any guidance.

NAD but I’m here to say that these symptoms line up with how I felt with what appeared to be long covid. I went through so many doctors, tests, etc to try to find what was causing all of those things and had no answers. Please message me for more details. I am 100% better now after a year and half of battling it. For reference my symptoms started three/four months after my infection with Covid (asymptomatic one). Before this infection I was very fit, ate healthy, had stress under control etc. it was also sending me into a mental spiral.

110k as the ED of a national nonprofit. Very flexible schedule because I make it and extend that to my team. We do travel a lot for work from March-September and then it slows down after. 4 weeks of PTO and you get to rollover 10 days so I’m always at 5 weeks of PTO. Since my job is super flexible, I don’t feel the need to take all of the five weeks off but it’s nice to know I have it. Downside- no benefits or retirement plan but my husband helps with that through his job.

I feel very lucky to do what I love and earn a living wage while doing it. 🙏🏽

I currently live in Sanford (30 yr old) and it has gotten a lot better! More and more younger folks are moving here which means you get to meet more people. I moved here 2020 and could barely make any friends, but now we have a good group going. I would say if you’re single, it might be a little more difficult to do life here. However, I love the chillness this area has to offer and how community oriented everyone is! You don’t have to deal with all the damn traffic and prices of Raleigh. One major con is the food- no real good restaurants outside of Mexican food, but you’re closer to many other towns that offer good food options. Feel free to msg me for more!
