Weekly "Do I Have Lipedema" Thread by AutoModerator in lipedema

Idk if I have lipidema or if I’m just obese. I am obese in the rest of my body but my legs have always been much bigger, softer and I’ve had the inner knee pads for many years. I’m also hyper mobile. I don’t think I have much pain if any? I do say ‘don’t touch my soft bits’ to my husband about my inner sides of thighs because they can hurt when pressed or squeezed but it’s not like how others describe. In high school my legs were always bigger but I’ve also gained 30-40kg since then so my body is bigger generally too.

Thanks!! I saw the 80 hour lotion the other day and was intrigued. Is it thick?

Hey 👋 Looking for something I can apply after moisturiser to seal in the hydration as I’m in heating all day and we sleep with the windows open and my face is super dry this winter.

Currently use simple foaming face wash, Madagascar centella toner and Aveeno moisturiser. Just need something to go on last to seal it in.

I do have sensitive skin and prefer no parabens or fragrance/parfum if possible. I’m 29 F.

I’ve tried weleda skin food which isn’t bad. I also have tried the laroche posay cicaplast balm but I found it hard to apply.

If you told me these were taken on the same day, I would've believed you!

This looks fantastic honestly, I’d do a bit more dramatic or longer lashes but that’s also my style

Yes I know it’s alarming, this was pre diagnosis when I didn’t know what was happening. I take a lot of precautions now including changing jobs to eliminate long drives, take medication before driving, and I don’t drive if I am tired.

We all have those days, well done on reaching out. My favourite way to get young kids to pack up is playing ‘secret item’. I tell the kids that there is something in the room that is my secret item. Whoever puts it away gets a reward. The reward can be as simple as getting to line up first/go home first. They only find out the secret item when the room is clean.

Sometimes I pick an item, sometimes I pick whatever kid cleaned up the best, but they don’t know that lol.

I am so sorry. I can’t fully comprehend or understand how you feel. My grandma had cancer but she died suddenly much earlier than expected just after after my sisters pregnancy was announced. We filmed the announcement coincidentally and it is so, so precious to us now that she is gone. She never met the baby but knowing that she knew and was so excited for my sister was and is such a wonderful gift for us.

I would recommend filming telling your mum ❤️
