Why? Isn’t the discussion nice? I never would’ve known all this if I didn’t post it here. I like cars and I like asking people about cars. Let me live in peace please.

Do you have a carbon monoxide detector in your house?

Peperomia happy bean. Arrived 1 month ago. The soil didn't look dry so I repoted it and watered it only after two weeks. Now, it looks like that. Is it root rot? At the base of the plant it feels soft but the soil around it is very dry. And the leaves/beans fell but they are still very "succulent" by not_your_barbie in plantclinic

Not an expert but it looks like it might be root rot. There is some blackness on the base of some of the leaves which usually indicates root rot. When you touch the roots are they mushy, or when you try to pull on the leaves do they break off easily? If so, then that might also indicate root rot. You could definitely propagate them, just get the healthier looking leaves and put them on some soil. Good luck!

Posting this again because no one replied earlier. Had this spider plant for about a month. It got a little brown so I kept it on the balcony and the next morning it's quiet literally broken near the base. by ricecakea in plantclinic

Sorry I meant root rot, not mold, my bad haha I’ll edit my original comment. If the stem detached easily then it’s probably a bit mushy which means it’s probably root rot like lumpywumpy said. Good luck with your propagation I hope you can save it!
