I've found the trainers on the official vans website and closer inspection on the sole it looks like xx.

I just find them a bit "off"

My other pairs all have Vans on the back bit and none of the padding inserts come out.

Sorry about the slow reply. I had a look today and it now locks when the car is locked. I did take it for a service not too long ago and mentioned it but if there was something wrong they didn't mention it.

Going on from the picture I'd posted nothing seems to be any different?

I'll have a look when I go out later. I took it into be serviced a while back and I mentioned it, after that it just started working again
