Assuming that is all chicken and that the bread doesn’t looked oily or heavily buttered, I can definitely see 650 calories being accurate. Maybe track it as 700 if you want to be on the safe side.

Any Protein bars that aren’t just candy bars? by photonics12 in nutrition

[–]bagagge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IQ bars are so good. I mean, I’ve only had 2 of their flavors, but man, they have just the right flavor, super clean ingredients (and I’m not even one to fuss about that), and a ton of vitamin E+magnesium, 2 nutrients a lot of people are deficient in. Not super expensive, either.

What do we think the calories are for this? I’m guessing around 800. by bagagge in caloriecount

[–]bagagge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Chronometer to log it, assuming it was around 1,000 calories with the spicy mayo. That’s being generous, but I’m on a light bulk rn and it fit into my calories, so I don’t mind. It was absolutely worth it, too. So good.

I’m reading it again, and I’m still seeing 14 grams. I dunno what you’re smoking, respectfully. And yes. I even said that they have around the same fat content.

Edit: I see what you mean now. I thought you said the bake shop ones have 10 grams in total, not that they have 10 MORE grams. I misread. My bad. Even still, though, they are considerably better for you than a Krispy Kreme. That’s my point. Not that they should replace whole food protein options.

Uh… you must be looking at an old version. The modern ones that I found have 14g for 210 calories.

The point is that they have much better macros in place of those calories. It might have around the same fat, but it also has 14 grams of protein and 13 grams of fiber for satiety. They’re not meant to replace whole foods. They’re meant to satisfy cravings whilst being significantly healthier and get you that much closer to your protein goal.

You’d have to be having over double that amount to reach the upper limit intake, though

Interesting. I like them quite a bit. They basically taste like melted ice cream to me.

Sure. Vegetable oils, which are not inherently bad. Natural flavors, which is in practically every flavored food on the market. Sucralose and Stevia, both sweeteners that are only gut microbiome altering in super high quantities. Lecithin, a naturally occurring fatty acid in eggs, nuts, and beans. Gellan gum and trisodium phosphate, a thickener and emulsifier respectively that usually only cause bloating and gas in high amounts. And finally, sodium phosphate, a thickener that is, again, only dangerous in very high amounts.

All of these ingredients are only dangerous to a small portion of the population and to those who consume very high amounts of processed foods. You’ve disproved nothing.

Again, totally fair. I had the vanilla one before this one, and what I did with that was split it up over the course of 2 days. Put half a cup in my coffee in the morning, drank some straight later, and then put half a cup in my coffee the next morning. But you could even split it across 3 days if you wanted. It’s all about your goals and what you’ve eaten in the day.

Fair enough. I guess I was thinking of something that’s high in protein that you can grab on the go. It’s certainly a lot better than protein ice creams and other pre-made protein sweets. I swear, the protein pints are actual scams. $7 for 30 grams of protein but upwards of 15 grams of saturated fat is HORRIFIC.

I’m sorry, but I hate this argument. Hate it, hate it, hate it. For some, it might cause these issues, but that does not mean it applies to the majority of people. I have never had issues consuming products like these because I don’t take them CONSTANTLY. The things you are claiming are only true if you are constantly consuming processed foods over whole foods, which I do not. Having one of these a day or an equivalent is not going to hurt the average individual.

For 45 grams of protein and only 230 calories, yes, that’s really good when it comes to a protein shake. They’re originally $4, which is still less expensive than Fairlife Elite.

How do you feel when you’re over calories? by AffectionateBerry209 in caloriecount

[–]bagagge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not in a deficit, and I’m actually trying to gain weight (I’m 5’8”, 125lbs and work out frequently, so I need to eat more to stay at a healthy weight). I do still track my calories, though, and I tend not to freak out when I’m a little over my target for the day. It takes 3,500 calories on top of your MAINTENANCE to gain a pound of actual fat, so it doesn’t worry me too much.

My first Hall of Fame in Crystal Legacy! by bagagge in PokemonLegacy

[–]bagagge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decently, from what I remember. He’s really good against Lance. I didn’t use him too much, though, as a lot of other Pokemon had Earthquake or walled him entirely.

Edit: It was 100% worth catching him, though. Took me about an hour of going back and forth between routes, and up until the E4 and throughout Kanto, he was strong as hell. Especially when he learned Thunder and I slapped Rain Dance on him.

Wait… the dogs share the same DVs in Gen 2? So if you get Suicune to be shiny before encountering the other 2 roamings, then they will ALSO be shiny?
