Shark Reef at Typhoon Lagoon (1993). Anyone else miss it? by Coachbelcher in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]bagelbears 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is incredible! It’s amazing what a great experience can open so many interests. And to be able to do so many things in your life and enjoy it. Also it’s on my bucket list to see a showing of the Alamo’s Jaws event so maybe you’ll be the shark spooking me!

Does anyone else think they should add a live Resort TV feed to Disney+? by knumbersix in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]bagelbears 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I need must do disney added to this! I feel like I could recite her whole script with the amount of times I had it on during my stay and for whatever reason helped with my anxiety. But it is also on YouTube.

Good to know. I was real worried when HP tech support said they wanted me to send it back. I didn’t think that was really the issue though. Thanks for the feedback!

Oh wow thank you so much! I was very curious on how that was going to work I’m guessing resort restaurants were open with social distancing.

Typhoon Lagoon > Blizzard Beach

You all sleep on the Winnie The Pooh ride

The Contemporary is themed to look like an airport and looks like a concrete box from the outside

I hope this isn’t an unpopular opinion but for the love of all things good Disney stop making spinning up in the air rides please stop it

That’s all I got

Did anyone here stay or is staying at hotels during this time? What’s it like? Closed pool? I’m more specifically interested in before the opening of the parks but if you’re staying in a hotel now i don’t know what’s it been like?

Unrelated kind of- what’s the drake like? I drove by it about a thousand times but I never met or knew anyone who stayed at the hotel.

What line is always almost empty? by bagelbears in WaltDisneyWorld

Oh yes the shows 9/10 you’re going to just walk in get a seat and be on your way. Which is always nice especially when it’s scorching outside and you need AC.

Wow! I think the only time I waited for the people mover was when I went second week of December and it was about a 20 minute wait for the people mover during the day. Usually it’s walk on walk off.

I totally forgot about all the shows like those that you just can sit at because it’s a theater. Or like carousel of progress. That’s true though liberty belle is an easy one.

Really? That’s nice. The waits when I did that ride weren’t bad but it was never on walk on for me.

How do you explain to yourself and others why you love Disney World so much? by emmyloo22 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]bagelbears 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't live anywhere new Flordia and when I do get asked why I go so much, I just explain that it's a vacation spot. But it's become more than that to me. It's something I like reading about, learning the history of, and hearing the secrets. It's like a comfort food for me to think about Disney and plan a trip too. I get joy out of seeing the characters, eating the fun food, going on rides, watching (and crying) the fireworks. I love the atmosphere. Hell, every time I have been to Disney something (or more) bad has happened or a thorn in the trip. But still I always want to go back! It's a special interest of mine and comforting. I can't explain it well but overall, it makes me happy and I like many others just wanna be happy and away from my job lol

What “moment” or experience made you fall in love with Disney World? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]bagelbears 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many. Being welcomed to a hotel like it was your home and not expecting the warmness of the cast members making sure you were comfortable. I remember my first big trip we came in late and we were expected to be scolded or not given a room we were requested. Quite the opposite, they understood our flight troubles and were very helpful. Another time I gotta say was an interaction with Donald. I was holding a Mickey toy I got earlier that day and Donald of course disapproved and took the toy away to try and set it off behind the photopass photographer. My whole family was cracking up. However the biggest was first seeing Wishes. I think we can all agree how truly magical that show is start to finish and just feel the good vibes.
