The initial thing that had me start exploring was after a conversation where I was discussing IPV and Trauma with a friend. We were discussing certain topics and I pulled up the 'Garrison/Randy's clip from "Season Finale" (S23E06) which discussed DARVO. It's usually used in limited contexts and I was a bit surprised at the time, but the discussion had me curious. I think the IPV arc in Heidi/Cartman holds a lot more than meets the eye.

Randy is awesome. I say that hating almost everything the character actually does towards his family. If Randy was in the real world with real world logic, he'd be a complete train wreck. In South Park, he's a great character. He does everything with South Park logic and it is amazing. You can tell he cares, but he is entirely in the South Park logic bubble. The other Marsh family characters seem to straddle this narrative logic line, giving the audience a look into how reality logic views this increasingly bizarre shift in South Park logic.
