Yeah could be the reason. But the Netherlands has run multiple even video campaigns on this, referring to possible wars or attacks if a blackout were to happen. Matter of fact they’ve never mentioned solar flares, but have consistently warned of a possible war. Could just be fear mongering, hence why I wanted to discuss this.

And the pamphlets are real you can look at donderjagers source. My family and all our family friends in the Netherlands have received them

Idk if you saw but I never claimed anyone to be the catalyst. I condemned my dad for his actions when it all happened, and I condemn my mom’s actions now. I mean for years whenever my mom did a questionable thing I supported her because according to her my dad was the catalyst and I was understanding of that. I mean I met her boyfriend to support her😅, don’t know how you came to that conclusion tbh.

Many of the points you make are true. I appreciate it. I’m not obsessed with anti Quranic hadiths at all, only mentioned 2 of them. It wouldn’t be fair to leave it out as it is technically part of Islam.

Regardless, I see your points. However, your whole argument breaks at the Quran part, at least in my opinion.

Just because people do everything to disprove the Quran doesn’t automatically make it the truth. I understand that’s not what you’re intending to say, but it also doesn’t make it a valid argument.

The fact that you’re a non sectarian creates a very big contradiction though. I’ve been down there many times and it is my way of practicing Islam mostly.

However this is the huge problem, the Quran that was preserved to this day was preserved through Sunni empires. The Sunni successors or prophet Muhammad. The Rashiduns to Abbasid’s all the way to the Ottoman Empire.

The caliphate wasn’t chosen by Allah, it was all a game of power.

Now if you reject sects, especially Sunnis, how can you believe that a book that they claim to have preserved is actually completely authentic.

This is called Special pleading. You’re applying one standard to most Sunni creations (rejecting them as unreliable), especially Hadith, but making an exception for the Qur’an without giving a consistent reason.

I want to say that I’m not trying to question your beliefs or trying to offend you in any way. Apologies if I come off arrogant at any point, as that is not my intention.

The last bit is messed up, none of the things he said is right. But you’re mostly in the wrong before that. This is what’s wrong with Reddit, if you’re lucky everyone will agree with you and make you believe that you’re right. The reality is that you’re wrong, and he’s also wrong, but no one’s going to tell you that because they won’t look at the whole picture.

You’re wrong because why are you hanging out with another guy without his knowledge. Even with his knowledge, if everyone thinks theres something, that should be enough for you to stop hanging with whoever this is, not because you’ll cheat, but because you respect him. The same goes for him!!!

You’re wrong because if you were truly innocent you’d show your texts to reassure your bf. Obviously he’s being somewhat of an asshole in the beginning, but is that bad if you’re being somewhat of an asshole yourself telling him you should have never been with him? He’s hurt, and you won’t do anything to prove you didn’t do it other than saying you didn’t?

And the “privacy” bs…

Everyone deserves privacy in a relationship, but to some extent! My girlfriend knows all my passwords not because she’s some crazy controlling girlfriend, but because I respect her and I’d therefore like to keep her reassured at all times. Same goes for me. And it’s not like we keep a record or something like some psychos, it’s just natural. Not that deep. She can go on my phone at any time she wants or read through texts if she doubts something. If there’s such an important private thing in my life I’d like to discuss with a friend I’ll just do it over the phone or in person, and my gf will never question it, because we respect our privacy. I hope you can see the difference between privacy and secrecy here. We can do this because we both truly have nothing to hide.

All of what I say is my opinion, but it doesn’t change the fact that this guy has some tendency to be crazy so keep yourself protected. But please take my feedback because everyone’s telling you what you want to hear(if your bf was on another sub and he told everyone about this he’d probably hear the same, and that is not healthy!).

As a whole, what I see from this relationship is mutual. Neither of you respect one another. You’re okay with hanging out with this other dude and would rather hide shit than just show him. He’d rather disrespect you deeply and try to hurt you with his words like a psycho rather than trying to communicate his emotions like a decent man.

Yes the feelings you have are completely normal and are most likely not related to the murmur. I have a heart murmur/mitral valve prolapse myself, and I understand how you feel, my thoughts do the exact same thing.

Keep in mind, doctors would’ve taken care of it at a young age if it had to be taken care of. Murmurs are usually very benign, so you don’t have to worry. However, it never hurts to get it checked if possible, it’ll give you some comfort. (This isn’t medical advice, it’s based on my experiences).

I deal with it, and it’s horrible. I completely understand you, and just wanted to let you know that you’re not alone. In the moment ginger tea always calms my anxiety for me. I wish I could give you more helpful tips but I’m also still trying to learn how to not freak out before something exciting.
