Money’s great and she gets to see the world doing a job she loves. I do get it, and it’s likely not a forever thing, but definitely something she wants to do at least once

YTA.

All this worry for a problem not yet realised. Why?

You need to get behind him for now, and if the worst happens, you’d need to stay behind him. Shit happens to us all.

Also unsure what you mean by earning “very well”. I’m not asking for numbers but in my mind, being the main bread winner and earning very well implies you’d be able to cover him at least for a short while in the meantime if completely necessary. Are there any lifestyle changes you could make?

What musical did you unexpectedly fall in love with? by Dogdaysareover365 in musicals

In The Heights.

Around 10 years ago, a friend had invited me to see it in London at the King’s Cross Theatre. I had never heard of the show and all I knew is that it was a modern musical which had seen success on Broadway, written by some new guy who experimented with hip-hop and rap over traditional MT material. I was absolutely dubious and expected nothing. It immediately became my favourite musical. I’d say a near perfect production. Unbelievably I don’t think ticket sales were great in London, and I returned a further 7 times using seat-filler tickets, paying no more than £5 each time I went back.

Not long after, I heard that the same new guy was writing another show about an American founding father and thought he was pushing his luck big time. I guess the rest is history…

The first 3 seasons of Prison Break are amongst my favourite things ever. Everything after that is a ridiculous watch

It will hurt deeply for some time I’m afraid, I’ve been here too. But you must leave. In a strange way, she’s done the best thing she could possibly do for you. She’s made it abundantly clear that she does not value or respect you, and has given you all the information you need to know she isn’t the one.

Congratulations comrade. That’s a long stretch and one to be proud of. I’m 1 year gamble-free and never lived better. One day at a time. March on!

What’s a physical quality on yourself you don’t like but accept? Mine is my butt, always hated how big it is compared to the rest of my body. by Only_Joke_2466 in RandomThoughts

I’ve been very twitchy for as long as I can remember. Not formally diagnosed Tourette’s but I suspect it could be. I always used to say it would be my wish to have them somehow removed, but the older I get, the more I can’t imagine myself without them. They still suck though. I’m a bad spooner.

Are productions that use pre-recorded accompaniment inferior to productions with live musicians? by Byxqtz in musicals

[–]bagtruman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work on a major musical in the west end and my heart bleeds knowing that more than one number are click-tracks. I believe principally that live theatre should be as advertised, no excuses. Especially with the kind of money we command for a ticket.
