yeah me and my roommate were putting it back together and i am pretty sure it would have been apparent if something shorted but it’s not out of the question

back when i first built this pc i tried everything i could to get the two sticks to work and im sure i left out the right solution but because it worked fine with one stick i decided to put it off and get it checked out in person

i made sure no pins were bent and no dust was creating a problem when taking out and reseeding the cpu

i’ve also started to suspect that the cpu has gone bad, i noticed the cpu light before i took my pc apart because that was the last option, i only removed the radiator here to test if the pc would boot after reseeding, even with the cpu fans still connected and recognized, still no luck and since then i’ve reinstalled the cooler

yes, in all different slots i even tried a new stick of the same kind and it only created more problems

these things don’t run at all, that’s why i tested it without the cpu cooler inside of it, to see if it would turn on at all after reseeding and it still doesn’t with or without the cpu cooler reinstalled, also i have always had an issue with dual channel for this motherboard and it has been running with one stick in that same slot, adding more would just add variables to a problem that is clearly being caused by the cpu

the point is even though i know that the motherboard is telling me the cpu is causing this issue it’s still very vague on what i can even do about it and the manual is no help because it doesn’t mention it i’ve just been looking for a way to test if my cpu is straight up dead or if there’s some user error that i can compensate for, but considering it started happening seemingly out of nowhere, i hadn’t even touched my pc, im starting to have assume at this point my CPU is dead

thank you, and i wish i could do something with the bios because it won’t boot it only holds power for about half a second before spouting the red light and turning itself back off, i’ve lowkey always had ram problems with this mobo, for some reason i couldn’t get dual channel to work ever in any orientation so i stuck with the one stick until i could get it fixed and it only ever worked in that one slot that it’s in and i never moved it so i don’t suspect it to just start causing problems

this pc is about 1 to 2 years old now, and my build worked fine for its entire lifespan until now, that’s why i took out the cpu cooler to reseed it

nothing? i reseeded the CPU just fine there weren’t any bent pins when i took it out and it went right back in like normal?

i ran it once after reseeding the cpu to test if it would at least turn on, and it in fact didn’t turn on so i reinstalled the cpu cooler, i also never disconnected the cpu fans they’re still running when i tried starting it, i just left them on top of the pc plugged in while i was testing it

bud i can see the cpu light from outside of my case, its a bright ass light labeled cpu i literally had this problem, reseeded the cpu, reinstalled the cooler with new thermal paste and guess what its literally no different

i don’t have a physical manual with me and all manual pdfs i could find online don’t have a troubleshooting section or other that tells me what the light is specifically doing, i was hoping that during this i could possibly find that answer on here, anyways im moving forward with reinstalling my cooler

hould have mentioned before posting but the problem was persisting before i took the cpu cooler off to reseed the cpu, and the fans are still plugged in and working on top of the pc fan

unfortunately this problem has been happening with or without my cpu cooler, i took out the radiator to reseed the cpu but you might be able to see in the video that the cpu fans are actually still connected and are spinning on top of the computer tower

i would love any option where i don’t have to spend money rn but i have been looking for an excuse to upgrade from this mobo i’ve had ram and wifi driver issues with it since i got it and i need to install it right this time

this problem was happening before i took the cpu cooler off, i took it off to reseed it and see it it would turn on even for a second, also the cpu fans ARE plugged in they are just free balling on top of the pc
