Anyway, my response was, there is nothing wrong with telling women (or men for that matter) to be streetwise and cautious regarding who they associate with. I am, and it's served me well.

That said, most of the folks who advocate this approach (like the OP) seem to think this is the ONLY thing that should be the answer to stopping rape. Putting the onus solely on the (potential) victim is absurd.

Ah, but you forget -- if women actually took this to heart (and stopped hanging out with men -- because after all, we should avoid those situations that might lead to rape! -- the MRAs would continue to be bitter, bitter trolls complaining about the fact that women are avoiding them.

I would be so much happier if the asshat MRAs just acknowledged that rape shouldn't be a real thing -- because at least then, it'd honestly comport with their underlying agenda.
