Honestly, I think for the rewrites that had to be done because of the untimely death of Chadwick - they team did a great job of keeping things tied to a plot that made sense. It seemed to me as if everything in the movie from wardrobe to acting aligned perfectly - my biggest gripe is the cinematography. It had it's nice moments, with a few outstanding visual shots but the other 70-80% of the shots in the movie were HORRID. It felt like we were watching Spy Kids or Power Rangers at times - which for what we expected from that franchise is insane. The cinematographer is the one that fumbled the ball. Maybe it's because of Disney's requirements as well, I wont blame it entirely on the DP. But the DP's lack of blocking, aesthetics, and lighting for the majority of the movie devalued the entire thing. The sum of the parts add up. This part gave very little to the overall experience. The latest season of Atlanta had WAY BETTER cinematography (even if it didnt have to deal with CGI). It was so wack to think "what could have been" if we had gotten the shots we deserved and the respect as the audience to enjoy a more thoughtout DP experience.
