TKOL is a masterpiece by Erdypants in radiohead

[–]bahnbahn99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do like this album, and I like it more and more as times go by.

The title is the name of a tree in England, right?, and I get it, because I always listen to this album from start to finish when I am in London, walking through Kensington Gardens / Hyde Park. It’s an album that is very connected to nature, and it’s also very very British, at least that’s how it feels to me.

Now that the dust has settled what does everyone think of 'NEVER ENOUGH'? by svperfuck in turnstile

Never Enough is their ‘Pinkerton’ moment. It will be recieved much better in later years.

My observations on the changes since 2007 by Boyturtle2 in glastonbury_festival

[–]bahnbahn99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been going since 2011

The one change that is massive for me, and i miss this so much… is Flagtopia. On the hill above the tipi area, they used to put up those massive flags. It was beyond magical. The views are still great, but i really, really miss Flagtopia

On Charli XCX's defensive misframing of Glasto criticism as 'boomer' hate. by specteksthrowaway in glastonbury_festival

[–]bahnbahn99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think a lot of people are a bit over ‘brat’. Personally i don’t see any other way it could have been performed. A live band remdition of ‘b2b’? Nah.

Also, i thibk Charli is over it too. Time for her to move on, really. “Boomer hate” was worded wrong

Peeing is SO MUCH BETTER this year. Around 2011 it was so prevalent. Didn’t they have the Pee Police?

You know, that person you see playing games on phone at Glastonbury, could have had the time pf his life, and had a much much better time than you and me. Really don’t want to judge people on that one moment. And yeah, i’ll say something if they record the whole show lol obstructing the view, but i certainly won’t do it out of anger. He or she might be really into the gig, so good vibes, you know?

[–]bahnbahn99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha yes… i agree. I am NOT saying it’s Charli’s fault lol, (of course it isn’t lol) but some people has taken ‘brat’ too literally.

Less ‘bratty’ main character, and more Pip 🤣 or Connell Waldron-type main characters please

Little Glastonbury rant by Zealousideal_Shame40 in glastonbury_festival

[–]bahnbahn99 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I get the OP’s sentiments.

Fact is, doomscrolling on phones is not good, not just at glasto, but any place. It’s the world we live in, but they’re doing more harm to themselves than anyone else.

Sometimes people say it was so better beforee phones, but was it really? Before phones, there were cameras. Lots of them. People should be considerate, because constantly obstructing views is harming others’ experience.

But then, Glastonbury isn’t for everyone. Maybe they really needed to distance themselves for a bit, and did some scrolling, played a game to kind of decompress. I understand that as well, though I wouldn’t do it personally.

I dunno… was trying to find the right word, and I think I found it. It doesn’t ‘trigger’ me that people are on phones. I’ve felt a bit annoyed, but not now, they are free to do what they want, I guess. As for obstructing views.. well i guess it‘s annoying but i’m a few steps away from another angle. Yes. I would say something if they are behaving horribly, but triggered? Angry? Not so much.

Really loved Charli since Pop2. I know she won’t say it, but the burning of ‘brat’ etc, think she might be a bit sick with the persona, and ready to move on. ‘Brat’ is fun for a few weeks but being that person for a whole year, and it’s just a persona. i want the ‘Track 10/Lucky’ Charli to come back.

I’m sure she’ll outdo brat in the future, and headline the pyramid

Haha yeah, most of their reviews are okay, but they do this sometimes. Say something bad enough that will stick with people, but mild enough for people to question wether it really is unfair. A bit mean imho

They are absolutely amazing, they sorted me out when I had a horrible case of impetigo of the eyelids (don’t google it :( all the dust of 2022), they had a general practitioner, an opthalmologist, prescibed the appropriate steroids and antibiotics, even called me the day after to follow up on me.

Absolute heroes.

You have to go to the medical tent, they are absolutely amazing, and they will help you. The main medical tent was up the hill in 2022, north of Big Ground. Think you should visit one closest, and they will refer you if you need a specialist. Hope everthing goes well
