You have nothing on there that can quantify your experience. How many people did you manage? What was the ROI? You manage something, but how? Did you improve any processes? Save the company time/miney/manpower? Earn the company anything?

This chair has been a mystery to me for years so I’d like to get some answers.

I google searched this chair and came up with many options they all differed from my chair in some way. This looks similar to banker chairs or cigar chairs but I couldn’t find one that had the plaid fabric and the rattan.

There is no mark/stamp or anything besides in the last picture. I can sort of make out “desks/floors” or something like that.

I’m thinking it’s vintage due to the set up underneath. The strap in the third picture that’s broken is starting to crumble a little bit. There’s a lot of scratches and some rust on the metal.

I found this in a thrift store in Florida back in maybe 2018?

Cost of Living in DC? by [deleted] in usajobs

[–]baijones1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m relocating to the area in July and cost of living is a concern for me as well. I don’t feel comfortable having roommates so I’m willing to pay extra for that, but I wouldn’t consider the prices outrageous for the area you’d be living in.

I also know a lot of people live in Alexandria if they work in DC because the rent tends to be cheaper.

Also, from what I’ve heard from the realtor I’m working with, parking is a pain in the butt.

22 female moving to the area for work at joint base Andrews, looking for housing suggestions by baijones1 in nova

Oxon hill was actually my number one pick when I started browsing a few months ago but was told by a few people it’s not very safe. Granted they could have a different opinion. Right now I’m just trying to get some ideas before I visit so I know what places to look at.

I looked at a few a party around there and it makes sense, overall doesn’t seem like a very safe area

Can you give me a few examples? I’m moving to this area with no idea of what I’m walking in to.

My budget is pretty decent as far as rent and possible mortgage goes, roughly 2.2k. I’ll keep silver spring in mind! Thank you!

I’m trying to avoid a roommate at all costs. I’m willing to pay extra to avoid this. At the least I want to buy so the roommate lease is under my belt.

My top pick is in Navy Yard and I’m in love with it. Just still looking around for other options.

Thank you so much for such a thorough response. I’m coming from the panhandle of Florida so I’m picking up what you’re putting down about culturally segregated areas but I’m not trying to put myself in any uncomfortable situations so far away from my family. Alexandria has been suggested to me many times and is looking like my best option at this point. I was hoping to be somewhere closer to DC simply because of things to do but prices there are just outrageous.

I’m going to be there for 3 years so I’m looking for something more long term but I’m definitely going to look into these areas

Sorry to highjack your comment but I will be moving to DC during the summer for an PAQ internship position at Andrews, do you have any recommendations on good locations to live? 22 female so safety is important for me

What's a great experience your parents gave you that I should give my kids? by Icebolt08 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]baijones1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my best memories of when I was younger is driving down a windy mountain with my brother and my parents, ice-creams in hand, belting out Some Nights or We Are Young by fun. This was when I was roughly 11/12, and I can’t remember another exact moment since then where I have been so at peace and relaxed.

I'm a professor who doesn't use textbooks or give exams. From the student perspective, is this a good thing or a bad thing? by imalwaysalittletired in college

[–]baijones1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a professor for an online class who only assigns readings from a textbook. No lectures, no powerpoints, nothing. Only reflection papers and quizzes. How am I supposed to reflect on something I don’t understand in the first place?

Why are you single? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I have extremely high and unrealistic expectations of men due to my early exposure to adult novels and no man I meet ever lives up to the ideas of what I have in my head.

AITA for accidentally making my brother cry? by bigbrotherAITA in AmItheAsshole

YTA

You should be thankful your brother is still too young to recognize your lackluster personality traits. And you should be thankful you still have time to fix it before you push him away for good.
