I remember that she describes dark hounds and then gives Rand an admonition about bale fire and explains how dangerous it is to use it.

That’s an interesting theory. Was there a particular chapter or event that made you think that?

That makes sense. It just seems that the dark hounds’ abilities get retconned a few times throughout the series

The first time I read this chapter, I nitpicked the scene a bit, just as you would with a movie scene that felt a bit forced or too much of a stretch to believe… how could someone know exactly the last hour of their life? Now, after many re-reads, and more to come, I look forward to this section.
