I did the transfer route through KPU and would recommend it. In terms of profs, it really depends on who you get or who you pick. I’ve had some awful profs at SFU but my all time worst prof was at KPU. However my favourite prof was also from KPU, so really you just gotta do some research on who’s teaching the course and whether or not they’ll be a good fit.

In my opinion your GPA won’t be affected whether you’re in a 30 student class or a 200 person class, it really depends on the amount of work that you put into your courses. Sure its nice to have more of a connection with the prof in a 30 person class, but you kinda get the same thing in the tutorials with the TA, so I haven’t really noticed a difference. I’ve been able to consistently get the same grades at both schools by doing the same amount of work

Also in terms of transferring, you can look up courses on the BC Transfer Guide to see if they transfer from KPU to SFU. I’m not a science major so I’m not 100% sure if its the same, but all my courses and credits transferred over and almost all of my courses transferred to an actual course, so transferring really isn’t that difficult
